Scorprix Jund Hayterz gun git Shrekt

Hi, my name's Alex. I've been playing Magic for a relatively long time, but only started purchasing cards around Dragon's Maze. I like modern and standard most, but I still do play casually quite often. If you haven't already noticed, I thoroughly enjoy building budget decks and playing Jund.

Play all of them, trust me. When I played Selvala I kid you not that I won more games off of the back of Praetor's Counsel than any other card in my deck.

Primal Command is pretty bad in EDH. It's a fine card overall, but is just generally used for decks on a budget because they can't afford a $50 Survival of the Fittest. I would also cut down on lands and up the ramp count, whether that's with creatures or extra land effects like Exploration and Burgeoning, and that should also allow you to add in Garruk Wildspeaker and Fauna Shaman, in addition to the EDH staple Vedalken Orrery. The card is good, but it is easily best in Blue and Green decks, and your deck happens to be one of those two colors. Genesis Wave is also pretty spicy, but your deck doesn't include filthy amounts of ramp yet so that inclusion is up to you. Staff of Domination also seems pretty weak, as your deck might make mana, but it doesn't make THAT much mana. Staff+Yissan is a 10 mana combo, and overall just isn't worth it imo. Thragtusk is more of a std/mdn/lgc card than an EDH one, and seems pretty underwhelming overall.

Cool deck, just needs some fine tuning.

love the name.

Also, Try to fit Praetor's Counsel and Verdant Confluence in here. They're both nuts.

Have you considered Nahiri, the Harbinger? She seems like she'd be incredible here.

I really like this deck, and it could definitely be a playable deck. However, I also feel like right now it's too messy. Time of Need is completely unnecessary, and Liliana otV isn't very good outside of midrange decks, which this is not. That opens 6 slots, of which could be invested in adding another land (or alternatively cutting lands and adding in 4 Simian Spirit Guides) and adding the final 2 Fatal Pushes and another single Inquisition of Kozilek. With the final 2 slots I'd recommend more card draw/filtration. I'm not sure what card that would be, but probably something that allows you to discard for cheap, maybe like Insolent Neonates? Just an idea, but I feel like that would make your deck better.

EDIT: Oh jesus, just noticed you only play 1 Goryo's Vengeance. There is absolutely no reason not to be playing 4. Cut reunion another vengeance, and definitely try to find space for as many neonates as possible.

Yo aren't you the guy that 5-0ed a modern event on MTGO? I understand cutting Bolt, but why did you cut Bob? You have all the Vampire-synergy going I guess, but that honestly feels weaker compared to the ability to enable automatic card draw every turn. I assume the intention is to use Stromkirk Condemned to empty your hand for Asylum Visitor in addition to triggering madness, but that seems worse than access to Bob and cards like Gravecrawler or Grey Merchant of Asphodel.

Obliterator also seems surprisingly weak in a meta where even Scapeshift sometimes playsets Fatal Push lmao, but I guess Path to Exile is at an all time low right now too to even it out. Speaking of Scapeshift, How does that matchup look for you? Just looking at your list it seems rough for the Black Aggro player to overcome any of the different breeds of Scapeshift, whether it's RUG, 5 color, Titan-Shift or the weird Through the Breach hybrid version. You could try swapping an Inquisition for another Thoughtseize as you deck currently has no way MB or SB to beat a t4 Primetime, and all variants of Scapeshift have gained massive amount of popularity due to it's newfound presence in the meta and positive Death's Shadow matchup.

Otherwise, this list looks good! I'm really impressed with the results and love to see innovative and new decks being played, and this deck is no different.

Hm, looks fine I guess. Personally I'd cut the Gideons and add another Tracker and Virtuoso, as those can often be enough to beat control anyways without having to load up on a ridiculous number of 4-drops that will just lose to aggro. If you REALLY want the Gideons though I guess you could get rid of a Tracker and a Hydra from the SB to fight control.

Yes, the 79 cards under the "Other" category. It says that when cards are not included into another category, ie when they have no hashtag.

My cube.

It was at 360, but I wanted to move it up to 450 so I've been using that page to keep track. Now it just bugs out and randomly deletes tags.

For me I've tagged cards with hashtags and set the deck to sort by custom categories, and up until recently it has been working fine. However, recently the tags have been deleted and sorted into large groups, which I assumed was just some new format so I just rolled with it and everything was ok. But now the custom category groups keep switching between having normal hashtags and being in the large groups, and almost every time I save my deck the site will switch over to the hashtags again and just delete 10+ arbitrary hashtags. I didn't feel like complaining because it wasn't too big a deal, but now it has started deleting 80 hashtags or so per save, which is just fucking ridiculous.

Sorry if that sounds confusing. If you want me to be more specific I can. Thanks!

I second Incendiary Flow. I've played the card and it's pretty good. Not great, but definitely good enough for a deck like this that needs face-targeting burn and a way to clear a T2 Winding Constrictor.
