Library Maniac Mcgee

Deck Help forum

Okay, so here's a deck idea that I came up with earlier today. I don't know very much about how to blue effectively, so here's my first blue deck. haha

The idea behind the deck's pretty obvious I think. Use Library Maniac in conjuction with Mirror-Mad Phantasm to draw yourself out quite a bit then focus on yourself with the mill. I'm pretty sure that the deck will fall short in terms of speed/drawing out. So any advice in that area would be greatly appreciated!

Hum, sorry guys about it being formatted incorrectly. I did my best with it for my first try. I hope that you still understand it!

First off, it's Laboratory Maniac .

I'd run lots of card draw and 1 Mirror-Mad Phantasm , then run 4 Phantasmal Image . Use Mirror-Mad's ability with Phantasmal Image, then you won't find Mirror-Mad and you'll mill yourself complete.

The problem with Mirror-Mad decks is their inherit fragility. Removing Laboratory Maniac renders the deck defeated.

I wAs told that does not work because you are Revealing the cards, not Drawing them.

@ mafteechr

I agree but you could have some Elixir of Immortality s and stuff like Skaab Ruinator s and Splinterfright s as secondary (most likely primary) win cons. But I totally agree with you. :)

@Syinide

It works in the fact that you do mill yourself completely and the entire contents of your library will be in the graveyard, but no, you won't win automatically as you still have to draw a card. Thankfully you could always draw a card on your turn (Ponder , Think Twice , Merfolk Looter , etc.).
