Hey sorry for the slow reply man, I been very busy myself. I've healed up pretty well considering since the accident, still plagued by shoulder pain and stiffness, but it's dealable. Congrats on the job man, I haven't had a burger from there before, but I hear they are good lol I went back to working at Arrowhead Mall Game Daze and I host a small standard tourney there Wednesdays at 5pm if you ever have time. As for Hero I go there from time to time when I am free, mainly just for pre-releases though. Mainly what with work and everything else I just play casually with a friend here and there.
I'm sorry, I was mad earlier, let me try again.
Lands: I don't want/need fetchlands that search up anything other than Swamp s (especially when I add Bayou .) There would be no point. In regards to Karakas , I understand its utility, but, I don't see how to fit it in the deck. Take out a land? That would be a mistake. Finally, 4 Badlands would jut be redundant. Most (competitive) legacy don't typically ever have a full playset of any Alpha/Beta duel land (6-8 fetches makes it fine). Also, as I said before, basics are amazing. They are a LOT harder to hate on (Wasteland , Blood Moon , Magus of the Moon , Price of Progress , etc.) I would, at most, have them as a 2-3 of. The simple truth of the deck is that, I need lands, that don't come into play tapped, and can produce black mana. Furthermore, in defense of Basics, Rock with Veteran Explorer as an engine to ramp insanely.
12-post legacy: There just isn't that many. It is a "thing" but isn't a super big "thing." Furthermore, most if not all of those lists ran 1 copy of Glacial Chasm and, personally, I'm glad they would waste a slot on Eye of Ugin
Sorry I was rude. :/
I just don't want to shell out $100 bucks for ONE card.
I'm aware of the utility of fetchlands.
Nobody uses Slaughter Games in legacy. Furthermore, the only other fetch I would get would be Marsh Flats
Um returning a creature to may hand with Karakas would be stupid.
I'm not saying I should use Wasteland /Crucible of Worlds , I'm just saying that, if you have ever played against it, it sucks.
Angel of Despair could destroy troublesome lands. Nobody uses Glacial Chasm or Eye of Ugin . Destroying a Bojuka Bog would be pointless.
I'm basically monocolored so swamps are fine.
Clearly you've never played legacy competitively.
Okay, makes sense.
1) Those are like $50-$100 a pop.
2) Once I'm done, its going to have 4 Bloodstained Mire and 2 Verdant Catacombs . (six should be fine)
3) Karakas is expensive to the max, isn't in my colors, and I don't see it being helpful in my strategy.
4) I don't know how much legacy play you have under your belt since you have been playing since scars, but Blood Moon or Wasteland + Crucible of Worlds really sucks when you only have 18 lands. Therefore, basics are amazing.
Lightning Axe is a neat card, never thought of it before. I may have to steal it... The only suggestion I can think of is Boseiju, Who Shelters All for your Shallow Grave and Goryo's Vengeance .
Thanks bud! Your deck sounds interesting; however, wouldn't Cabal Therapy and Viscera Seer work better than destroying your own crreatures?
My Maybeboard is actually cards I want/need for the deck. Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur will totally have a slot when I get one.
Wood Elemental ...
I would personally put more lands in. Maybe Haunted Fengraf for utility?
DukeNicky says...
Thanks man :)
