cleaning it up

Um, sorry, but some of Crux of Fate is a sweeper, not removal I'd switch Bile Blight to the main in favor of your Dissipates. Although you don't need much more removal.

From thoroughly testing, I can tell you, that's not the right call here

you really need to play more draw spells. i would cut all Dissipate and Monastery Siege for two more digs and two Jace's Ingenuity and one Silence the Believers.

Id main board at least some agro control like bile blight and something to get athreos off the field. Fade into Antiquity or similar card

Unravel the Æther could be a bit better

Unravel is way better than fade. As for draw cards, I think that Siege is really good, and as awesome as dig is, in a build like this, siege is better as it has more functionality. I would however drop 1 Heros Downfall and 1 Dissolve for 2 Bile Blight. Also what are your thoughts on Dark Deal?

It's a pretty good card, but I don't like it here really

Why no Murderous Cut?

@ DeepFriedwater : Just not a fan of it here, there are more versatile removal spells at my disposal in this shell

January 29, 2015 12:21 a.m.

I just noticed the lack of ashiok

January 29, 2015 12:50 a.m.

mpeach1 says... #14

yup no Ashiok in this list

January 29, 2015 1:22 a.m.

Why thou

mpeach1 says... #16

Wouldn't be enough room for more than just 1x and I really don't like Ashiok as a 1x of. Same reason I'm not running Kiora in this list. Plus I just really wanted to get away from a walker heavy theme so I could change things up after the walker list I was running until FRF, which is also on my profile.

You can run a pair by getting rid of 2 lands

January 29, 2015 2:15 a.m.

mpeach1 says... #18

Can't afford to drop the 2 landS though, is really important here to hit your land drops, so you can keep killing and countering.

January 29, 2015 2:41 a.m.

mpeach1 says... #19

Could almost run 1x more land

January 29, 2015 2:41 a.m.

Idk I just always feel 24 lands is enough? But if you feel that way idk I guess it's a personal choice

Ummm peach it's not unanswerable ;) the answer is there

I created a similar build but straight U/B... Took 1st and when 5-0 in it's debut....

Nightmare's Champion Book II - The Silent Scales

January 29, 2015 5:30 p.m.

What's that?

January 30, 2015 1:41 a.m.

micah1 says... #24

Needs Tasigur, less dissipate and more dig, and less Courser of Kruiphix for more crux/perilous vault and 1 more garruk or Ugin.

Lol. That comment basically says "you shouldn't play this deck, you should play something more like all these UB control decks going around"
