Lowering average CMC —June 29, 2016
I playtested Rise of the Dark Realms and found that unfortunately that most of the time it was a dead 9-CMC card in my hand. My playgroup doesn't use very creature-heavy decks. I would be waiting for a good moment to cast it and it would never come. Ironically, it was most useful when a Narset player exiled it and cast it for himself.
I've lowered the average CMC back below 4. I find most of my decks operate better when average CMC is lower than 4. Just seems to work faster. I put back in Ob Nixilis, Unshackled because he punishes people for tutoring (something my playgroup loves).

skmbc thanks for the suggestion. I hadn't heard of sadistic sacrament. I'll definitely pick up a copy!

Not sure if you are trying to make a budget build or your own version of a black recursion deck, but Sheoldred, Whispering One and Mikaeus, the Unhallowed would work great in this deck. I have actually seen a lot of well built recursion decks with Mikaeus at the helm. Mikaeus would also allow for my consistent recursion for you. Just a couple of thoughts for you.

Sadistic Sacrament instead of jesters cap? unless you have some artifact recusion i missed. maybe Haunted Fengraf and Beacon of Unrest
