Vault of the Archangel -> Cabal Stronghold. The stronghold is just the better land, I feel. I might add The vault back in at another time, but there’s also other lands I will likely be putting in here now that most of the creatures are fleshed out to my liking (I’m looking at you, Exotic Orchard and City of Brass! Also a fetch.. lll).
Mentor of the Meek -> Kokusho, the Evening Star. Mentor is great, but I need to find spaces for these Teysa staples, and while I love the card draw, Kokusho is the better card.
Hell's Caretaker -> Ayli, Eternal Pilgrim. The caretaker is good but I don't like that the ability is only able to be used in your upkeep, so I'm trying out Ayli.
Elspeth, Sun's Champion -> Liliana Vess. Elspeth is a special card, but I feel she is really only here for token production, which I am more or less trying to get away from. Lili, on the other hand, provides a tutor to top deck with her -2 ability, and I'm kind of surprised more decks aren't running her over the dreadhorde general (maybe I'm weird for wanting another way to tutor?)
