And yes, I agree- EDH is a game where stupid things happen. Run boardwipes or go home. Every deck I've seen has at least 20 cards of removal, or doesn't need removal because of their boardstates (cite my nigh-enchantments only Oloro deck :D).

And even still, I've kept dying to a Nicol Bolas that I just didn't have the Hex Parasite or creatures for. Run removal and counterspells.

i find it really difficult to be prepared for every deck i face and end up being chewed up pretty badly in certain match-ups. I don't get all bent out of shape and petition a ban of a certain deck in my cardshop and I'm not really that concerned about losing so, i feel like some of the others have said in here "tough shit'' and "suck it up princess" but Emory did put the deck back together and told them to live with it lol

Oh but she's just a "meh" general anyways right? why does it matter if she is played or not? lol

I use Liquimetal Coating in my list. Using it on enemy annoying lands than annimating them with sydri = psuedo land denial.

I considered that card but almost immediately took it out of my list. In my play group it was too obvious

This is the best Sydri deck I have seen so far the multiple win scenarios are fantastic.

Have you considered adding Nevinyrral's Disk to combo with Darksteel Forge and Mycosynth Lattice ?

Also as previously mentioned by Erisium adding any artifact that taps for 3 such as Basalt Monolith can be be turned into an infinite beast with Umbral Mantle seems like a winner to me

Plus an artifact tapping for 3 would provide a base for infinite mana by simply adding Voltaic Construct or Rings of Brighthearth allowing an easy win with Exsanguinate or Debt to the Deathless

This is my first post but I felt I had to say something as this is the only Sydri deck that has inspired me
