Got 3rd place on this weeks FNM —Nov. 2, 2012
Made 3rd on this week's FNM, with a 4-1 score... The deck ran pretty solid, losing only to a GW Aggro deck..

Cryptborn Horror would definitely fit well. I can't see you getting much use out of those Mudrackers with the extremely low amount of Swamps in the deck; and 22 land is definitely high for a burn deck, since you curve out at 4. Maybe take some land out and put in Stromkirk Noble ?

Also, if draw power is what you need, I'd highly suggest Reforge the Soul over Dangerous Wager

I run something similar to this, would suggest a couple Pithing Needle to deal with planeswalkers, otherwise it looks solid.

I find Flames of the Firebrand interesting only in that it is versatile enough to ping three 1 toughness creatures, or one 3 toughness creature. Want to eliminate that 2 toughness guy only and not waste 1 point of damage, ping the player with the other 1. Unfortunately not instant speed like I would like in a RDW but I guess that is the trade off for the ability to assign the damage how you would like.
I liked the previous idea of using Cryptborn Horror . Miracle a Thunderous Wrath at the player for one red mana and then throw the a 5/5 horror with trample for 3 mana ... I just gotta like that. :)

I used Cryptborn for a while, and when I could use thunderous with him or use a sacrificed Vexing Devil it was awesome, but the other time it wasn't that great, so I opted for more consistency... I'm making a few tests using Pyreheart Wolf
About Flames, I was thinking in sideboarding it, but I dont know what to take off

What about Ash Zealot and Hellrider ? And in this kinda of deck I would say Pillar of Flame would be better than mortars
