FNM RESULTS (11/6/15) —Nov. 7, 2015

Man, tonight was a feel bad night. I didn't come last but I don't like free wins and I hate losing because of my own mistakes. Anyhow here are the results:

FIRST MATCH: 2-0 by default. I don't know if my opponent didn't show up or if there was an odd number of players but I was the "lucky" contestant to get the free win. I mean it's cool and all, but I go to FNM to play magic, improve my own gameplay, and have fun. So that was pretty lame.

SECOND MATCH:2-0. This was against the same B/R Dragon Control deck I faced last week. The game pretty much went exactly the same. First game was kinda auto-pilot with all the removal I needed in hand. Second game I almost lost to some heavy beating, but just as last week I was able to stabilize thanks to card:Drogonlord Dromoka.

THIRD MATCH: 1-1-1. I went up against a U/B control deck. First game was pretty easy and won with brute force thanks to card:Dragonlord Oujitai and Silumgar, the Drifting Death. The second game my opponent took the game thanks to 2 back to back Dragonlord Silumgar. Last game went to time pretty much as we began the game so there was no way either one of us was gonna win in 5 turns hehe. I noticed, after playing for the first time against a Fathom Feeder, I am sort of glad I didn't include it in the deck. It is slightly neat and late game it's dandy but it had very little impact against me, I would much rather run more removal/draw/counters in its place.

FOURTH MATCH: 0-2. Went up against a U/B Aristocrats deck. Due to some miscommunication the match started late so I feel like most of the mistakes I made through out this game were due to being in a hurry knowing control game take a while. Anyhow, first game I kept a hand with 5 lands, a card:Narset Trascendent and a Utter End, terrible hand to keep. I was able to survive until I drew Ugin, the Spirit Dragon but was stuck at 7 lands for the next 3 turns and couldn't get him online. Second game I mulligan down to 6, scry, leave Polluted Delta on top so I could get my second source for Silumgar's Scorn, or so that was the plan. Out of habit and rush I cracked the first Polluted Delta I played at the end of my opponents turn, and realized during my draw the terrible mistake. More mistakes were made and cause me both losses. Would I have won? Maybe, I beaten the deck before, I played gainst this guy's deck before and won. But mistakes were made on my part, and that's the only way to learn :D

FINAL RESULT: 2-1-1.

Feel bad day, but oh well it happens from time to time!

Sultai Charm in the side for Gaea's Revenge?

Well I can't say I have seen a single Gaea's Revenge yet, but the other 2 modes on it are pretty relevant. I might think about it. Thanks for the suggestion!

I'd go Abzan Charm before I'd go Sultai Charm. It's far more useful beyond Gaea's Revenge

Yeah, in the earlier update i mentioned I wanted to try to fit them in but wasn't sure if with my manabase it was stable enough to consistently play it. Same doubts would apply to Sultai charm.
