So about your combo. Unless I am mistaken your combo shaves 1 colorless mana off the Deep Analysis + Laboratory Maniac finisher. This is extremely useful as it allows HD combo to pack 1 mana counterspell support for the combo without any acceleration needed on t3. Also you avoid the labman autofold to removal problem and you can now can win on t2 often with one shot mana acceleration Lotus Petal and Elvish Spirit Guide

On the other hand it requires 2 extra cards to work assuming you use Memory's Journey, which makes the combo plan A+ It also leaves you open to the problem of getting one of the 7ish cards you don't want in your opening hand.

Am I close to the mark? Overall I think it is a wonderful innovation. Thank you for sharing it. I hope to find a deck for it. Mimeoplasm loves it and I think sidisi brood tyrant will also find it useful.
