Deckling -

Thank you for visiting my page. I truly enjoy Magic the Gathering and what it brings to the world - critical thinking, imaginative creations, and social aspects. Aside from playing Magic the Gathering, I also enjoy collecting the cards, old and new, from ABU to the newest set. As you'll see from my deck lists, I really enjoy playing Pauper and some Vintage. Recently, I've been divesting from building EDH decks as I think the format is growing dull with the amount of powerful cards. I prefer the older, jankier cards!

On that note, my decks range from janky to optimized, and everything in between. I play mostly for fun and the thrill of crazy, new interactions happening between players. However, I'm always trying to improve my builds and get better as a player - so feedback is welcome!

Yeah sorry didnt realize Krark-Clan Shaman was so expensive! A different suggestion for you then could be a decent creature I play in my Gruul Ponza list: Thresher Beast. Its a bit hypocritical of my comment on high-CMC but its a cool card if you feel the deck is ramping quickly enough.

Cool deck! I've always liked what black has to offer in terms of land denial, and I appreciate the originality of the deck list.

I second Grubbernaut in wanting to point out that you may benefit from having more removal or creatures in the deck. For casual, kitchen table game play I think this deck is great - but a lot of the cards are high-CMC and at sorcery speed which in some games will lag behind, unable to catch up.

Although its a meta-game card and takes away from the originality a bit, consider throwing in Writhing Chrysalis which is a great blocker and provides mana for your high-CMC land removal. Or having a Krark-Clan Shaman + Toxin Analysis combo in the side board could be useful.

Ah good old Dimir faeries. Your deck isn't too far off from the meta lists. I personally like to run more counter magic, Lorien Revealed and also Thorn of the Black Rose, Murmuring Mystic and Snuff Outs mainboard.
