a tale of 2 karns

so we are getting Karn Liberated as a planeswalker right? well what would happen if you already have Karn, Silver Golem on the field already when you cast him?????

AegairEtapa is correct.
The "Planeswalker rule" keys off the subtype on the walker. So, for instance, Jace Beleren and Jace, the Mind Sculptor can't exist on the same field because they both have "Planeswalker - Jace" in their type line.
All other permanents use the "Legend rule," which instead simply keys off the name of the permanent. You can't have two Glissa Sunseeker s in play, but a Glissa Sunseeker and Glissa, the Traitor work together fine because they don't have the same name.
And because Karn Liberated and Karn, Silver Golem are governed by two different rules, they don't care one whit about one another.

Yeah because of this interaction it allows for hilarious stuff like:
Mycosynth Lattice + Bludgeon Brawl
Which allows Karn, Silver Golem to equip Karn Liberated and Venser, Shaper Savant to equip Venser, the Sojourner

Equipment that's a creature can't equip a creature. Just to make sure you don't actually try that in a game. :P

Thought that in itself can be used in some weird combo as the Equip ability can still be used, targetting in the process.

Equipment that's a creature can't equip a creature, but there's no rule about equipment that's a planeswalker. So turning a planeswalker into an artifact with Bludgeon Brawl on the field will still let a creautre pick it him up as an equipment.
That is, unless they change the rules when NPH is officially released to prevent such a thing, which is a possibility.
And while the Karn and Venser scenarios are hilarious, the real winner is Nicol Bolas wielding Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker .
"So...Bolas hits you upside the head with Bolas for 15."

Sure.. They are still a Planeswalker, still have loyalty counters etc. They just happen to be attached to a creature.

Nothing.
The Legends rule and the Planeswalker rule are two different rules. The creature does not legend rule the planeswalker and vice versa. Same with the Vensers.
