Is it possible to create a sideboard in such a way that, by changing these card, that you have a new deck?

A "Transformative" decklist is what I think people call it.... It's certainly been done before but i cant give any real competitive examples.

I personally run a Saheeli combo deck in modern Altar of the Brood + Liquimetal Coating + Saheeli Rai for a Mill win condition.... but if milling becomes complicated due to something like Emrakul, the Aeons Torn or I predict they will bring in artifact hate i just bring in the classic Felidar Guardian + Saheeli Rai infinite cat combo instead.

I’ve seen a few decks posted here that perform like you’re saying. If I recall correctly, user DBCooper has a deck like this although I forget what it’s called.

Yes, I've played competitively against a deck which changed into one that focused on Approach of the Second Sun, after Sideboarding.

It was very effective because I need to Sideboard to beat Approach, so I had no chance of winning Game 2.

Sorry, I don't remember what the basis of the Maindeck was, other than it being Azorius.

Icbrgr I was looking at your Altar, Saheeli combo and I’m not sure how it’s really a combo at all? Could you explain it to me because I’m obviously missing something.

@Daveslab2022

How the combo works is when Altar of the Brood is in play use Liquimetal Coating/Liquimetal Torque to turn Saheeli Rai into an artifact. Saheeli is then able to use her -2 ability to target HERSELF (legendary rule applies so old saheeli goes away) the new Saheeli copy will trigger Altar of the Brood causing the opponent to mill a card; The Saheeli token is already an artifact in addition to being a planswalker so she is free to -2 repeatedly untill the opponent has no more cards.
