Is this card worth it given the current state of the format? Jeskai combo looks to be a force to be reckoned with for at least a little while, Affinity is a powerful deck, and Splinter Twin will always be there. Specifically, this card kills Keranos, God of Storms which is more and more played in the sideboards (sometimes maindeck) of many UR decks, but I am unsure if this card is worth playing over Nature's Claim /Ancient Grudge anyway.

@GlistenerAgent, Unravel the Aether gets around indestructible, like there are any out there currently anyways.

I like the idea of Unravel the Aether or Deglamer over Nature's Claim /Ancient Grudge because scry is becoming a thing so shuffling their deck can kinda throw them for a curve

My point exactly. Just wondering if that alone makes it worth playing over other possible hate cards.

Ancient Grudge kills twice. If you are running R/g, then i would probably go over with the grudge. Caligula does have a relevant point though.

I think it's definitely worth running over the other, Just because of that. Against a Jeskai build or heavy control it'd force your opponent to rethink his plans not know what will come next.
Could make all the difference!

I think the real appeal is dealing with Keranos. Shuffling their deck is nice, but I feel it's less consequential than killing their indestructible win condition.

GlistenerAgent In white, you have Erase to deal with them, which only costs W, so can beat a T2 kill of Ascendancy. It's also amazing against Keranos. I don't see all too much reason to run it, because destroying and artifact or enchantment is much more versatile (Disenchant ) than having specific answers to certain threats which may not appear.

This is also a good card in dealing with Wurmcoil Engine and Arcbound Ravager .

Well, they can still sacrifice Ravager in response. The Wurmcoil point is very interesting.

Note that Deglamer is a functional alternative to this card. The art sucks, however.
