First deck; Help needed for mono-black Vampire

I'm new to Magic, but I have fallen in love with it. It is my new hobby and I don't plan on giving it up! Black Vampire Aggro/Lifedrain is my very first deck, and I would really appreciate some help on fine tuning it.
Blood Artist is a must in your deck. Vampires are a ton of fun. Enjoy.

elfsaine I will most definitely look into adding Kalitas, Dismember, and Butcher of Malakir into the deck. I can see the synergy between Kalitas and Butcher and it could get crazy with all of the other cards! What creatures would you recommend for me to cut out of the deck? I could also add Kalitas, Butcher, and Nirkana to a sideboard too.

Now you've kinda taken a step backwards. Yes you have great cards, but you've also created a situation where you've basically handicapped yourself. Start from the beginning. Pick one or two key cards or stratagies (I.E. Sanguine Bond + Exquisite Blood or tokens + counters with kalitas and drana.), then build the deck to complement that. Also, 16 land is not going to let you cast your heavy hitters, even with the ziggurat. With the high cost stuff you have you would want 24-27 land for reliability, without any ramp.

elfsaine Ah okay, so I just need to focus on Sanguine Bond and Exquisite Blood like I was doing before. Alright I will bump up my mana, and take it back to where I had it before, and move Kalitas to sideboard.

vampire lasirator, bloodghast, SORIN MARKOV IN MAIN/SIDEBOARD, lots of kill spells, pulse tracker, child of the knight and gatekeeper of malikar. defenitly have 1/2 phryxian oblitirators in sideboard

Looking at what you have so far, I can see this deck progressing one of two ways: 1: you can cut/change a few creatures and removal spells for more land to take a controlling stance.2: you can lower your curve and take an all out aggressive approach. Either way, I would suggest looking into Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet. It helps with either strategy by going tall or wide on your opponent. More of a budget option would be Bloodline Keeper Flip. Dismember and Languish are also cards to consider. If you keep the land count low, I would cut Butcher of Malakir, Drana, Kalastria Bloodchief, and a Nirkana Assassin or two for kalitas and Drana, Liberator of Malakir. They are a little easier to cast, and provide a lot of power.
