Mildly competitive storm commander?

Commander (EDH) forum

After a long debate with myself asking if I'd rather play a Storm deck or a Stax deck, I'm starting to lean towards Storm purely to not be hated instantly upon pulling out Winter Orb. What're some good (competitive, tier2-tier3 or so) commanders who isn't named Kess, Dissident Mage or Jeleva, Nephalia's Scourge ? I've thought about Mizzix of the Izmagnus but I've been told she isn't a great storm general.

Edit: I bring up Kess and Jeleva due to the fact that those are the two commanders I mainly see for storm plus I'm not a huge fan of grixis. I'm mainly thinking of Yidris, Maelstrom Wielder , Mizzix of the Izmagnus and I've heard some nice things about Oona, Queen of the Fae

Yidris, Maelstrom Wielder list I made ages ago that is quite budget friendly, if you skip Wheel of Fortune (used to be 15 bucks back then):

I have a traditional storm deck that is run by Riku of Two Reflections , and an artifact storm deck using Jhoira, Weatherlight Captain .

A word of caution though if you are running storm to avoid being hated off the table look elsewhere. I find that storm commanders are feared almost as much as stax. In fact I think storm is hated more (in my group I play a lot of storm, and a friend plays a lot of stax). If nothing is happening with a stax player they get ignored, but a storm player doing nothing is biding their time

I didn't think people would hate storm more than stax. It's been a while since I played EDH but I do remember my lgs has people playing Gitrog dredge, FC Prossh, Thrasios/Tymna, Ydris storm and Maelstrom Wanderer.

To add to that - the Yidris saw the table twice before being dismantled for good. It is a miserable experience, but in more competitive groups, it could be good.

I just enjoy the idea of the decision making for storm and control/stax decks and dealing with interaction. The only cedh decks I have atm is Yisan Midrange and Tazri food chain. Yisan had some interaction but not as much as I'd like

Idk how cEDH worthy it is but Melek, Izzet Paragon is a really neat storm build. The version I’ve piloted hasn’t been updated since dragon’s maze though and was built to be difficult to storm off in. There’s been some new toys for storm since then too

I've heard mixed feelings about Melek, Izzet Paragon and Mizzix of the Izmagnus whether they're good or not. Nobody talks about Jori En, Ruin Diver despite looking interesting and fun to tinker with.

Jori doesn’t give that much value. Only your second cast gets a draw
