Dragon Tribal Generals

So, I decided that I want to build a casual EDH deck based around Dragons and stuff. However, I am not quite sure which colors to use. I don't want to use Jund with Karrthus, Tyrant of Jund because I usually don't like playing three colors. Right now, my choices are the following:
Mono red: Zirilan of the Claw for dragons. Probably the most interesting one since he's not really used and that makes him pretty all right and the top contender.
Izzet (U/R): Niv-Mizzet, Dracogenius for the card draw and dragons. Same thing as above.
Gruul (G/R): not sure of the commander, but green for the ramp. Maybe Xenagos, God of Revels for the beats? Ramp.
Rakdos (B/R): Bladewing the Risen with reanimator and dragons. Reanimating dragons? Sounds pretty cool to me, but I might have to move cards from another EDH deck to this one.
No Boros. I hate Boros.
What do you guys think would be the most fun to play with and against and why?
Thanks.

All right! I will try out all of them tonight on Cockatrice when I get home and see what I come up with. I can try Nicol Bolas since lands aren't an issue with him and knocking someone out of the game is always fun (for me). Never thought about the Elder dragons actually. Thanks for the suggestions.

I considered him, but I felt like five colors would be too clunky, but maybe I'm wrong.

I would agree with GoldGhost012 as the argument "i don't like playing 3-colors" is completely invalid. karrthus is legit...

I've never had a issue with my Scion of the Ur-Dragon deck. I run plenty of ramp, and dual and triple lands. It would get shut down pretty quickly by a Blood Moon or Magus of the Moon . Since most of my dragons are red though, I'd still be able to cast them and focus on the offending player.
Having access to all five colors gives you the best choices for ramp, draw, answers and wincons. Plus it lets you play hilarious cards like the Door to Nothingness . The 'bringers from the first Mirrodin set are really useful too.

Your argument against Karrthus, Tyrant of Jund is invalid. Run Karrthus. Tribal Jund Dragons is legit.
Otherwise, definitely Bladewing the Risen . Because it's fun to Sneak Attack then get any Dragon removed this way back.
