Hey Everyone, just need some advice on my Sisay control Deck

https://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/sissay-control-0-needs-workhelp/

It's all been made and is ready to play, just some additional thoughts or includes would be greatly appreciated as I'm still new and this is my first EDH Deck!

Not a huge fan of companions, but if I'm light or too heavy let me know,

Thank you so much to this community, I'm in awe with how helpful you've all been

Hiya, Roryesquire. Welcome to EDH. It is very different from Modern and Standard...

I would like to advise you, as you are a new player, to maybe not have a difficult 5-color deck to play as your first deck. If you are looking for a toolbox commander, even the older Sisay (Captain Sisay), is a great competitive commander to play with.

Secondly, how well do you do with your 28 lands? I am curious as to how well/badly your deck plays currently. :)

Thanks shadow63 for the link to my deck!

Hey battle_jelly I've not played it yet, next meetup is next week!!!

I'm honestly not sure how it'll run, I've tried to mana fix and ramp with; Dorks, fetch lands, artifacts and creatures abilities but I'm also worried it's light

If I can stop our play groups Arch Enemy from winning by turn 5/7 I'd be over the moon

Roryesquire, hey again.

If you're just trying to stop your opponents, I think you'll want more control and counterspells. I encourage you to test out your deck long before you play your opponents, because your deck seems to go too wide (in terms of what you want to do). Remove cards like Blackblade Reforged and add some more lands or ramp. 28 is too little for your deck, I think.

Removing the Oath cards aren't a bad idea, as you only have 7 planeswalker cards. Unless you are running a superfriends deck (15-20 planeswalkers), it's not as helpful for you.

If attacks are an issue, Glacial Chasm, Crawlspace, and Ensnaring Bridge are fun cards to halt the aggro a bit.

28 lands is definitely light for commander. to put it in perspective, its the equivalent of 17 lands in a 60 card deck. you'll probably want to bump it up to 36-38.

also, the arch enemy cards were meant for 1 player to take on a team of players. so you should have help stopping whoever has the arch enemy deck.

I also forgot Maze of Ith, but just be aware that this land is not supposed to fill a spot for a land that produces mana.

Elephant Grass and Island Sanctuary are also fun cards to consider. If you are going to try for more defense.

I totally hear what you are saying, I've split the deck up and with Artifacts/Dorks/creatures/I.E.S there's about 50 cards for mana and ramp, still you're right,

You have a Cascading Cataracts, but i personally feel that you have enough color fixing to do without it, ALSO, you have a Prismatic Vista which only grabs basics, and you have no basics. I think sense you also seem to be short on lands that the solution here may just be to add one of each basic
