Throne of Eldraine Update —Dec. 11, 2019

Throne of Eldraine brought us a strictly better version of Painful Lesson in the form of Foreboding Fruit, they're both the same price so there's no reason to not run it instead. It also gave us Malevolent Noble which is another artifact sac outlet that gets bigger. It's definitely solid, so it was put in the deck instead of Stabbing Pain, which I always thought was somewhat sub par.

Added: Foreboding Fruit and Malevolent Noble

Took Out: Painful Lesson and Stabbing Pain

By optimizing my cart and removing a few cards that I already own, the price is $3.32. This is the cheapest magic deck I've ever seen despite it being a commander deck.

Because im paying $1 for shipping, I might as well spend a few more dollars. What do you guys think the most important upgrades would be for a few dollars more?

I'm looking at this list but there are some things missing here that could really benefit this deck. 1: Where's short sword? Let me tell you about short sword. It's a one mana equipment that allows you to equip it onto a creature (also one mana) to give it +1+1. Now, with +1+1, it allows creatures to get out of the range of burn removal and give it resistance to -1-1 counters. What's so flexible about the equipment is that it equips for one so you can move it around from creature to creature. The artifact itself costs one mana, so it's a quick early game play to set up for a stronger play later on. That's all I have. Enjoy your deck, but remember to add short sword.

Wow, I was looking for a Macar build this week. So glad I stumbled upon this, hitting the cart button after +1

i mean, for this budget, i can't believe that it plays well! I don't know if i should call it a jank deck, because it can stand up to cEDH decks if they're not careful.

Hey man, cool deck. I'm just getting started in playing edh, so this is the perfect deck. What are the upgrades that you mention? And can they not break the bank?

Started playing mtg beginning of October and quickly realized pre con decks won't cut it. Found this budget deck mid October and bought it. Haven't had the chance to use it until last night and I gotta say, I'm quite impressed that it held its own against 2 other people. Amazing budget deck! I'll check back from time to time to see how you update it in the future.
