Very true. I will consider adding it to mainboard, and will definitely put it in sideboard. When I get around to doing that.

Possibly swap out some Jace's Ingenuity with some Divination because I feel like at turn six the ability to divination while still having enough mana for a counter to pressure the opponent is better than drawing an extra card.

jaces ingenuity is instant speed tho, so if the opponent doesnt cast anything it can be used at eot, still keeping mana open for a counter the whole time

Yeah the instant speed is incredibly valuable and the full 6 mana is definitely helpful. I think I'll stick with the Ingenuity for the moment.

Ideally every card in the deck would be an instant or have flash, allowing me to do everything at the end of my opponent's turn while leaving mana up for counter and removal.

Upvote from me.It's a lot like my current standard deck, http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/dragonlords-control/ I'd try Palace Siege, I've been really pleased with it as a one-of hard to kill threat.

I've been thinking about Palace Siege. I decided not to run it because it didn't have flash but I may reconsider that. Any suggestions for sideboard? I'm having a bit of trouble with it.

i dont like the idea behind running 4x Murderous Cut, arent you delving away everything that you would want for digs? just an idea, also please check my deck out and see what you would do to improve it Banting Dragon Control

This is just me but having a way to interact with my opponents hand is crucial. Personally I would have 2 Despise in the main board because it hits almost anything the top tier decks. Disdainful Stroke is good but I feel it is more situational. Also maybe a Negate or two to deal with Planeswalkers faster then a straight counter spell. These are just my opinions but great overall! +1

Crackling Doom I will attempt to counter, siding in more Negates and Dissipates Game 2.

No love for Silumgar's Scorn I think you could go to one pearl lake and add two Icefall Regent then your running enough dragons if you add Anticipate I chose all of these cards because they are all budget and fit into your theme

Btw wow turn two Grindclock just wins against control

Generally I'll be countering stuff before I get my wincons out. The 1 less mana isn't particularly valuable in this deck, and even with Anticipate, 4 dragons isn't really enough in my opinion.
March 22, 2015 10:59 p.m.
I have been testing with 6 dragons as win cons and it's been pretty good lately for budget. Also the two mana makes a huge difference. Late game you can chain digs to get out of a lot of messes. Which leads me to believe 4 crux is to many if you can get a vault it would be great because end hostilities is becoming a lot better then crux now.

Yeah but Crux works well with Silumgar. I still think Icefall Regent isn't as good as Pearl lake Ancient due to lack of flash and smaller body. I'll try testing with Icefall Regent, maybe Anticipate is better than Jace's Ingenuity. I'm really not sure about Silumgar's Scorn with such a small amount of creatures.

Stratus Dancer is incredible value. I know it's a creature, but the value you get from it is incredible. Every single time I turned this face up at DTK prerelease it was met with a groan. It's something to consider at least.

I have to agree that Stratus Dancer is amazing. Unfortunately it comes out when I need to leave mana up for counter. I've actually considered making an Esper or Azorius version of this deck with Ojutai's Command, Dragonlord Ojutai and Orator of Ojutai that has more dragon tribal and more creatures.

Silumgar the silumtsar drove his silumcar to the silumbar on the silumstar but he got stuck in silumtar so he went to the silumcar mechanic. But the store was silumbarred by the silumguard but the silumguard was no match for silumgar the silumtsars attack. Silumgar gave the silumguard a silumhard kick to the silumnards and silumgar silumscarred the the silumguard in the silumnards this silummarred the silumguard for his life. But to his dismay the silumcar shop was empty. So he left the silumstar in a silumcar rental In search for another silumcar shop to remove the silumtar from his silumcar. silumtsar, silumgar thankfully the next silumcar shop was not silumfar so silumgar the silumtsar drove the rental silumcar to the shop. the mechanic fixed his silumcar and he drove the silumcar, no longer with silumtar, to the silumbar and silumhad some steak lightly silumcharred. then the silumtsar was challenged by a silumczar for control of russia. the battled in the silumbar for a silumhour. neither silumtsar nor silumczar made it out alive. THE END
