My closest game —Oct. 4, 2019
Finally got to play again last night, played against a Nicol Bolas, the Ravager Flip bolas tribal deck, a Ghave, Guru of Spores saproling deck and a Tishana, Voice of Thunder card draw deck.
I started of well but didn't pay attention to Nicol Bolas, the Arisen Flip and ended up being the target of it's -12 (understandably) and was ready to loose the game there.
I had Underrealm Lich in hand so was planning to just play that and hope for mercy. come round to my turn I drew the last card in my deck and saw Riftsweeper with that i clawed my way back, much to the disappointment of the opponent that did that to me.
I won thanks to the Ghave, Guru of Spores going off trying to kill the table with Poison-Tip Archer + Tendershoot Dryad + Gyre Sage and Ghave, Guru of Spores but failed to realise I had a blood artist on the field, so they died instead of me.
And it is sad to say the Tishana, Voice of Thunder didn't get to do much, thanks to bad draws and being made to discard a lot.
What I learned from this is to pay attention more to planeswalkers in general, I could of prevented the ult but didn't. there were a lot of mistakes from everyone in the game. I'm sure I missed plenty of mistakes and misplays.
