Massive update! Thanks for 300 upvotes! —Dec. 29, 2016

Thanks you very much guyz for all your support and patience! I know I have not been that much active, and I will try to move things around!

I see we still miss a Yidris list in the description, so I will put NarejED one for now, as I know he has a good one, and if you guyz know a better one, please tell me so I can change it!!!

NarejED As a person who has piloted Azami almost exclusively for the past 2 years I'm not sure if Paradox Engine will make the cut in my cEDH Azami. It needs to replace a big combo piece in the deck, something like Mind Over Matter. MoM is practically guaranteed to win you the game whereas Paradox Engine can be much more situation dependent. Just my thoughts on the card.

Oh my god. I saw the Paradox Engine comment (with the pic), and immediately thought, "Cool, someone designed their own Masterpiece card." Seriously, Wizards...WTF

Keep in mind paradox engine can be dramatic reversal #2 if you put a counter on the stick. Simply cast anything and then target it with the counter, then counter the counter forever.

Ive tested it a handful of games in a dramatic scepter Thrasios build since it was spoiled and paradox engine feels really great. It makes Isochron Scepter a significantly better standalone card for dramatic scepter decks. You can slap any legal instant you would like onto it and as soon as paradox engine resolves, it becomes difficult to lose. Imagine infinite Silence, infinite Mana Drain, infinite Brainstorm...First game with it I goldfished a turn 3 victory with Jace's Archivist...second game turn 4. Considering these were somewhat jumbled hands with plenty of fast mana, but no clear path to victory, it is safe to say this card will be a staple in many decks.

@AzamiLadyofScrolls: You're right. Paradox Engine is not quite Mind Over Matter, but it's pretty close. With 2+ wizards (counting Azami) and or more available from rocks, you're all but guaranteed to go off with it. You can dig, cast a relevant cheap card, dig some more, find more artifact mana and Wizards, dig some more, and suddenly you have 200 mana floating and your entire deck in hand. Plus Engine costs 1 less, and doesn't have the same insane color requirements as MoM, making it a somewhat unfair comparison. As a finisher/combo piece, I'd actually rate it higher than a few of the other finishers run in Azami like Mind's Desire. I'm sure room can be found.

NarejED I can definitely agree with that. My point was simply that Paradox Engine requires the correct Azami build and might not necessarily be an "auto include" in every list. Upon further review of my own list I believe this card could be an excellent replacement to MoM in my particular build (Transmute Artifact just got even better).

The biggest winner may be Kaho, Minamo Historian. He now can form several 2 card combo piles with engine to end the game. He may jump 2 tiers off one card. Or I could just be reading things wrong and hes still terrible

a little enthusiastic there. I can see a 1 tier jump but I don't think it can do enough to keep up. I could be wrong. Alone, hes pretty bad.

I truly could care less about Kaho. I feel like super compact two card combos (1 of which is your commander) and the other is a permanent type that mono blue has several ways to tutor for and several ways to protect are fairly decent. Essentially you play mono blue control with a combo finish. Its worse than azami, but azami requires more pieces to win with this engine.

Mono blue control is a tier 3 strategy on its own. The reason Kaho is tier 4 is that he offers no advantage over other mono blue generals. Now he appears to offer an obvious advantage. Every cheap instant blue cantrip in your library can potentially draw your deck. Maybe thats a one tier jump. Either way he gets a boon

Well as I feared I misread the card. The spell goes to the yard after kaho casts it so she has no combo potential :-( Back to the scrap heap
