Let the Feast Begin! —May 21, 2020
Ah! Wonderful times, The Very First Update to this really fun deck! I have truly loved playing this deck, Its been so much fun to build something outside of my usual playstyle, and I am proud that this round of changes have been so good!
We have a few changes, so Lets dig right in:
Arasta of the Endless Web --------------> Curious Herd:
Oh, Arasta was taken out some time ago, and for the Moment... the Herd takes its place. In my playgroup, theres a few artifact heavy decks, so usually this can generate at least 3 tokens. The idea, is that for 4 mana, you want to be making at least 3 tokens.
Dryad of the Ilysian Grove -----------------------------> Woe Strider:
The Card was really good, but sadly it just did not vibe well enough. I needed more token producing cards, and the Strider literally does it all, AND can come back from the graveyard. I could literally not ask for better value. It has been so cool!
Journey to Eternity Flip ----------------------------> Fiend Artisan:
I'll be honest, I am still shaking a bit after pulling this in my Ikoria box. It's been a bit lackluster, but I have tutored with it in one game to DEVASTATING effect. Searching for Low CMC cards, such as Dockside Extortionist has lead to some INCREDIBLE combo play. I approve of this change, so far.
Squee, Goblin Nabob ---------------------------> Bastion of Remembrance:
I do love Squee. He is a useful card especially for how often He comes back up and how anything can just eat him forever. However, things gotta go to the cutting room floor and until I can find something else, Squee must go... and what a card to go for. another Zulaport Cutthroat effect, AND it makes a token. Just yummy, perfectly yummy. So it stays.
