v2.1.0 - A little balance, a little meta —June 2, 2022

Pre FNM, a thought of what works and what doesn't. Also a little bit of experimenting since I have no time to test these changes ^^

3 cards in the main just weren't feeling great.

  • 1 Drannith Magistrate can hit a good many things, but they are quick things. And in that situation you want it in your starting hand, there is no time to fetch it. But in game 1 you don't know you need it. So It is removed but joins the 2nd one in the sideboard.

-1 Sancitifier en-Vec just hasn't been amazing. It occupies a flex spot (maybe the only one!). It has been fully removed and the +1 Sanctum Prelate is now brought up to the mainboard.

+1 Archon of Emeria has been working well in all it's roles, including just being a 2/3 flyer, so there is now 1 more in the main

-1 Charming Prince has been cut before. It is middling. It has 3 modes and they are all situationally good, but none bring as much value as others can. When space is tight, prince gets bumped

+1 Unlicensed Hearse - this one is a bit of a wildcard. With sanctifier gone, this is a bit of additional graveyard hate, but I think can generate real value even when graveyards don't specifically matter, similar to what Lion Sash can offer

Overall the biggest change is the colorless lands slot. -4 Ghost Quarter. While I love them vs tron or man lands, they just sit unused most of the time. What we need are more creatures that are hard to remove. So +4 Mishra's Factory

The last change is in the sideboard, a change that I'll have to see how effective it is, is adding more removal. +2 March of Otherworldly Light switched out for -2 Phyrexian Revoker. This feels good especially since the other main non creature removal is sorcery speed. In a lot of situations revoker is only shutting things down until they can deal with it. March will attempt to take care of it
