May be a bit too expensive for you, but Cauldron of Souls with Horobi, Death's Wail allows you to board wipe your opponents every turn.

Cauldron of Souls Would be amazing, but it is five dollars, and would destroy the budget part of the deck. Its good if you don't have the budget though.

I didn't get the chance to look through all the way but hexproof to all creatures may help a lot

Unfortunately, the only thing that is close to this in mono-black with my budget is Veilstone Amulet, which mainly works on my turn, unless i have Scale of Chiss-Goria + Tooth of Chiss-Goria in my hand.

This deck is so fun!

With the Gruul Draz Overseer and Horobi wouldn't that just board wipe your own creatures. I'm not 100% if Gruul Draz Overseer belongs in this deck with Horobi. Otherwise seems like a fun deck and I am going to try it out.

Guul Draz Overseer is "each other creature," so it doesn't target. The reason I use him is that I need cards to actually make my Horobi, Death's Wail able to actually swing and deal more damage. Also, there were few other useful cards.

Hey I just want to say that I bought this deck and it worked really well against some pretty difficult decks like slivers. It did pretty well and I got 3rd at my local gamestore for a small Commander Tournament.

Would Deathspore Thallid really be legal in a Mono-Black Commander since it produces Green Tokens?

A quote from the Official Commander Rules: "A card's colour identity is its colour plus the colour of any mana symbols in the card's rules text. A card's colour identity is established before the game begins, and cannot be changed by game effects. Cards in a deck may not have any colours in their color identity which are not shared with the commander of the deck. (The identity of each card in the deck must be a subset of the Commander's)"Since the ability does not require green mana and the tokens themself are not cards in the deck, it is perfectly legal.

Mask of Avacyn is a cheap alternative to the boots or greaves. Serrated Arrows and Serrated Biskelion might work well in here too.

The Reason I don't use Lightning Greaves + Swiftfoot Boots and now Mask of Avacyn isn't the price, it's the fact that this is the text for equipping: N: Attach to TARGET creature you control. Equip only as a sorcery. Thanks for the other suggestions though!

I know it's outside of the budget, but Kormus Bell + Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth would make for some positively brutal land destruction.

You know I've looked at your commander multiple times but I always just thought of the ability as a drawback. Now I know that it's meant to be an asset instead. I can't wait to play it with Goblin Sharpshooter > : )

Yeah, if it was an enchantment with that ability for mana I would use it, but the price + the way its one use means i can't.
