Do you miss the power of Ensoul Artifact + Ornithopter ? How 'bout one turn slower but one more point of power?

Here we're planning to run out Neglected Heirloom   and make it do some work, either attached to an Heir of Falkenrath   or Elusive Tormentor   .

We've got some other madness stuff going on to help keep up in the long term, but the idea is to get in quick!

Like the concept, im running a jund build block constructed using some similar cards. May I ask as to why the slayer's plate? I feel like it is just kind of forced in there, and that space could be used for a better spell, sinister concoction, macabre waltz or even another call the bloodline. Certainly not a criticism, just wondering why it's in there, thumbs up for sure.

You're right, it is there as a placeholder, and should probably be something like Macabre Waltz.
