This is a mono-black deck built around Phylactery Lich and indestructible artifacts. The ideal start is a Darksteel Axe into a Prowler's Helm into a Lich. Attach both pieces of equipment on turn 4 and you're swinging with an indestructible, likely-unblockable 7/5 creature. For longer games, you have Barrier of Bones, Seekers' Squire and Darksteel Myr to block. Doom Blade and Drown in Sorrow provide removal. Barrier, Squire, and Drown also help you find your pieces, as does Darksteel Pendant and Read the Bones. With seventeen sources for surveilling, scrying, or drawing, this deck turns out to be be remarkably consistent.

If you've got a couple of extra bucks, you can add a few Lashwrithe or Darksteel Juggernaut in for Darksteel Axe or Darksteel Myr.
