Main-Boarding Rolling Earthquake —Dec. 13, 2020

Okay, after quite a few skirmish matches, I have come to conclusion that Rolling Earthquake is just amazing. I knew it would be incredibly good in the multiplayer match but even in 1v1, it has completely turned a losing match around several times. I am main boarding them immediately.

To make room, I am side-boarding Guttersnipe. It is such a good card but, it is such a huge loss when it gets removed on arrival. I also don't usually have the time or resources to wait until I have 4 Mana to garentee any additional damage with it. I might still use it in the miltplayer section but honestly, it will probably get removed even more since I will now have 3 other people making it a high priority target. Because of this, I may take them out entirely and side-board either 2 more Thermo-Alchemists or Satyr Firedancers instead.

I also might be swapping Kindle for the more consistent, yet way more linear Lightning Strike.

IMHO, its definitely worth it to run 4 Guttersnipes!

Definitely understand that, GenericToaster. It's a great card but I just really worry about getting clogged with three-four drops. Guttersnipe is a huge powerhouse though so it might be worth the risk. I am hoping to play some games with this and refine it a little before the tournament; I will definitely try running 4 to see how it plays! Thanks for the input!

Even considering the inclusion of Landslide, you might find it worthwhile to replace a Mountain or two with something like Barbarian Ring or Ramunap Ruins. You never know when you'll be short that last point or two of damage!

Thanks for the advice, ClockworkSwordfish!

Ramunap Ruins is more money than any of my other cards (my highest is Rolling Earthquake at $.69); I think it might just be too expensive to run if I want to keep a sideboard... I might play around with Barbarian Ring though. I am already at budget so I would have to take several things out for it to fit but it might be worth while. As you mentioned, I also just really don't want to shoot myself in the foot with a underpowered Landslide in the late game. Also, like landslide, it doesn't scale well in multiplayer matches so that's something to consider.

Thank you again! You've given me a lot to think about!
