I love coming up with my own builds and discussing Deck Strategy with others. I don't do Netdeck builds of anything "Top Ranked" -- not on Paper, and not on Arena (at least never in Ranked matches). I don't have any problem with Netdecking as a concept, I just prefer the challenge of seeing how far I can get ignoring all the most popular combos in any given format.

Feel free to copy any of my decks though, I've got no problem with the concept & consider it a compliment!

Also, if you're on Arena, go ahead and add me if you want to play, test decks, or even just discuss deck strategy & different builds.

Sure, you can go ahead an add me on Arena if you like (info is on my TappedOut profile here). I'm always down to talk deck tech even if I don't play a ton of 60-card formats anymore.

I've been on a Brawl kick for quite a while as the meta is nowhere close to stale (so long as you avoid hell queue commanders). I also don't dump money into Arena so a singleton format is much easier on my wildcards than having to keep 4x copies of everything as the meta evolves. It's also nice to get genuine use out of cards that are "good, but too slow for the meta". I definitely feel like I'm using a lot more of my collection since I started playing Brawls.

On your main/maybeboard question: I haven't kept up on Timeless at all really so I'm not even sure where the meta is at anymore to be quite honest. I just burnt out rather soon after Timeless was released and haven't kept up the wildcards game to keep a bunch of decks competitive for that format.

+1 just for seeing another Arena player on this site honestly, but you deserve it just for sticking out Timeless format. I hung in for a while, but the meta was just too stale for my tastes. I had a couple card suggestions for your build here, but then noticed your pretty extensive Maybeboard & they're already on it so just cheers I guess (hah)

Really though Poison counter decks live on in my heart going all the way back to the days of Marsh Viper, well through the Infect era(s), and now back onto the older-style mechanic with Toxic. In fact, one of my Timeless decks a while back was a mono-black Poison build ramp/cheating out Skithiryx, the Blight Dragon & hitting him with pump spells specifically because he's the only Infect creature currently on Arena.

Cool build you have here, hope it keeps doing well for you

One of the main weaknesses of any creature-based build is going to be Boardwipe effects. And, especially now that there are exile-based boardwipes floating around in the mainstream (your Sunfalls, your Farewells, etc), you can't even always rely on indestructible effects to get around this like one used to when boardwipes were all just "Destroy all".

That doesn't leave you a ton of options to get around this, but one I would look at for sure is a couple copies of Guardian of Faith. Phasing is the only way tokens can leave the battlefield and not just instantly poof, and he even shares Spirit synergy with the rest of your build. This makes him pretty much the only option for a deck like this to bypass a wipe.

Another one that could be fun here is Divine Visitation with all your token-generating effects, as well as Anointed Procession and/or Mondrak, Glory Dominus for some doubling effects.

Anyway +1 for some neat picks; I hope some of this helps, and good luck either way!

Yeah that's not an unfair call at all. I don't generally like giving my opponent choices over my turn if I can help it, but there aren't really a lot of rakdos-colored draw options to pick from either (unless it's red-based discard, then draw) and he's a solid, synergizing body to have on the board.

I'd definitely spring for at least a couple of those Face-Breakers though (unless you just forgot to update your deck). They were a lot more dramatic a change for my deck than I thought they would be when I added them to mine.
