Qolorful Power Hungry Maniac

Welcome to the least colorful wall on Tappedout

Because ironically enough I'm a dedicated player.

I'm not impressed

Disclaimer: I'm actually a dude, I just think Teysa's demeanor in this art represents me very well when I'm playing Magic. Generally unimpressed.

Join me in my quest to make a commander deck in each color combination!

Starting October 1st, 2017, I am beginning my quest to make a deck in paper of each color combination, from mono-colored decks all the way to the omnichromatic deck! Some decks will be unique, while others will pretty standard. Some competitive while others casual. Feel free to join me on my quests with both your input and your trades!

Sorry, I didn't grasp your question the first time I read it because I'm a tired dummy. Here's a picture of my profile settings highlighting the style sheet code.

The HTML that links my style sheet to my profile is:

<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="https://drive.google.com/uc?export=download&id=0B_ilMQix33W4MWVob3VNN0dYV3c">

There are a lot of things that could be going on, but the most likely candidate is that the syntax for linking to a style sheet has changed. I know for a fact that Google Drive syntax has changed since I last updated my tutorial, I'm not sure about Dropbox.

The URL for my profile's style sheet use to be:

Now it's:

So make sure the HTML href pointing to your stylesheet resembles the latter link (the one that's working) and that the file is shared.

No I don't have any Zendikar Expeditions, I am not a huge fan of the art so I didn't invest in them, I have a couple Kaladesh inventions (Chalice of the Void and Engineered Explosives) but they are higher end and I don't really want to trade them, if I find any for cheap I'll let you know and you can tell me if your interested to trade for them, though that is a long shot.

Thanks for the feedback on my zombie deck. I've tweaked it since and I think I've made it better, seems to test well anyways. Can't wait to buy the cards and toast my buddies who run modern decks with my standard deck lol

I really need some help on my 3 decks if you want to take a look and maybe give a few suggestions then that would be awesome! I'll also be checking out your decks too and I'll try to comment some suggestions on yours in return.

For sure. I may be available over some breaks, in which case I'll let you know in advance.

  1. This isn't standard legal. Origins is rotated out, and emn is rotating in a week.

  2. Your combo doesn't work. Turn to Frog removes all abilities, meaning you can't use it on perdition to make it a 1/1. You can, however, use something that reduces toughness to do so.

At either rate, the deck probably needs some serious love to make it standard legal, or to make it playable in another format. As a casual deck if you fix the combo it is pretty fun though

Desperate leap

Target creature gets +5/+5, flying, and protection from the color of your choice until end of turn, then flip a coin. If you lose the flip, sacrifice it.

Let's see Even more coin flips!

Umm well they just spent their entire hand on a 10/10 that's debugged by animate dead soooo... turn one Path to Exile and proceed to watch your opponent duffle around while you play a deck that can continue to play after turn one

Is this really your first edh build? Lol you shoulda seen mine! Freaking Kalemne, Disciple of Iroas that had no ramp other than sol ring and boros Clue stone... embarrassing honsestly. Good job on your first build

Since you're already ramping with your commander, cards like Thalia, Guardian of Thraben can be pretty obnoxious for those pesky blue players too, and won't much bother you. This includes Lodestone Golem tic an extent, Sphere of Resistance, and Trinisphere. Just a thought for your soft lock strategy.

As far as running out of gas, it doesn't much look like you should be with your list, you've got a lot of card draw and ramp, so you should be able to keep crapping out cards all you want. Though you can make serious use of Sylvan Library and Abundance in this deck, as well as the new enchantment from ixalan. I don't recall it's name but it basically gives you a card whenever an opponent removes something from your board.

Hope this helps a bit?

I think this style of deck could be fun if you added more of a pirating theme than a pirate theme. "All of your creatures are belong to me" type deal. Admiral Brass already steals people's cards when you hit with a lot of pirates, so you really could take that and run. Captivating Crew is the first pirate that comes to mind for that, but you also have flavorful cards like Blatant Thievery and you have other Control Magic effects available to you, as well as other fun cards like Slave of Bolas and Insurrection effects. You already have quite a few cards that are good for that strategy, so it might be fun. Also, with Arcane Adaptation you can run other non-pirates more freely and still get brass' triggers, such as Gonti, Lord of Luxury. One last idea is cards to take peoples' spells, such as Insidious Will, or Praetor's Grasp? I think it could be fun, though your current list still looks pretty solid

Demon of the Pass

Creature - Demon

Flying, haste, first strike

Whenever demon of the pass attacks, up to one target blocking creature gets -3/-3 until end of turn.

It watches and waits until you let your guard down, then it strikes.

Make a card that seems really over powered but no one can figure out exactly how to use it

One last question before I start to trial and error until something works. I have mine put in the same way as yours, and the sheet itself doesn't have any difference as far as formatting it goes, so I'm not sure what is wrong.

for the sake of clarity, say I have this in my style sheet

    font-weight: 600;
    color: #79fc7b;

Then when the style sheet is linked to a page, I should be able to type

text here

and it should turn out bold and green?

Is all the code outside of the stylesheet link important to the function of the link itself, or are those just additions?

Sorry for all the questions, I'm trying hard to figure this out

After sufficient testing of merfolk builds I concluded that Argy's assumptions about them were correct. They are about as good at Aggro as a deck of 20 plains and 40 Nyx-Fleece Ram. I just could not make them consistently be threatening by turn 4 or 5. They will have to be late game oriented. But that doesn't have much going for it either.
