Creature - Human Wizard
When enigma mage enters the battlefield, shuffle target spell into its owners library, then that player draws a card
When enigma mage leaves the battlefield, reveal the top card of your library, if it is an instant or sorcery you may cast it. If you do it cannot be countered.
Make another crazy wizard

MurrSheep what challenge was this for?

Cards that only gain you life aren't terribly good in any format. Ghost lit redeemer is pretty underwhelming for that reason. Serra Ascendant or Giver of Runes would both do you more good in this type of deck. Also, this might be a bit less optimal, and you could definitely decide I'm flat out wrong on this one for sure, but Knight of the White Orchid could accelerate you to your bigger angels and such, Id think of putting one in in place of one of your take hearts and 2 in for 2 of your angelic accords maybe? For the same reason as removing redeemer might be good, Ajani's welcome could be replaced by any combo of Legion's Landing Flip and Haazda Marshal . They will gain your life but also produce extra value.
The only reason I ripped on so many of the cards in here is that I actually really like the deck as a whole, and want to see a lifegain angels deck work well. I might use this as a template for my own deck.

Creature - sliver
Slivers you control have "when this creature enters the battlefield exile cards from the top of your library until you exile a sliver, you may cast that sliver this turn if able. Then shuffle all other cards exiled in this way back into your library."
Make another of the cycle

multimedia Thanks for taking a look! I love most of your suggestions, especially Congregation at Dawn ! I didn't even know a card like that existed, and I started to drool when I saw it! As for colorless lands, I had actually considered adding a single waste, and having someone else bring it up affirms me in that, and I'll probably take a forest out for it, I also like the idea of the talismans and the pain lands going in, though the panoramas have always disappointed me whenever I put them in my decks. I had never seen Palace Jailer either, makes a good replacement for stalker cat.
As for cuts, I wont want to cut sunblast or swindle. sunblast is great because it makes for great politics, and a great rattlesnake. Swindle is expensive the first time you cast it, but I can recur it with Eternal witness and lock out the entire game by having it pay for itself. I'd actually cut plasm capture first.

This challenge I already did making reality shift, but I'll have another go at it.
Breaker of Wills.
Creature - Nightmare Demon
When Breaker of wills deals combat damage to an opponent, that player loses the game.
If during your turn Breaker of wills does not deal combat damage to an opponent, you lose the game.
Lets see another "you lose the game" card that doesn't care about extra turns and such.

My Roon of the hidden realms list is meant to be able to play as a fairly casual deck if I choose, but also face-meltingly oppressive if I want as well. By that I mean I want a lot of cards that I can abuse with my Deadeye Navigator + Peregrine Drake combo, but that are also good if I choose not to set it up. I have Eldrazi Displacer to abuse all the mana that can make me, and I have a couple of ways to find the creatures I need for said combo. I just need to decide what the best effects are to use along side it. Woodfall Primus , Terastodon , and Azor, the Lawbringer are cards I'd like to abuse. I just don't know what to take out or if I'm forgetting any other bombs.
Heres the decklist: Roon's Hidden Toolbox

Whenever you remove a time counter from ~, choose one:
Draw 3 cards, then discard two cards.
Take an extra turn after this one. Do not remove time counters during that turn.
You lose the game.
You can only choose each mode once.
More time counter cards.

That is exactly what I had in mind, I didn't specify but I was hoping to see untapping shenanigans! 10/10! Here's your card
As an additional cost to cast ~, sacrifice a land.
~ enters the battlefield with x fracture counters on it, where x is the number of land cards in your graveyard.
Whenever a land you control enters the graveyard from anywhere, each player loses life equal to the number of fracture counters on ~, then remove one fracture counter from ~.
When ~ has no fracture counters on it, sacrifice it, then each player loses life equal to the half the number of land cards in your graveyard, rounded down.

fybunnypants English EMA foils are going for $70-$80. A non-English version will simply never sell for $200 if you ask me. Almost every foreign card goes for less than the English card when selling to an Eglish speaking player base.

Creature - ooze
Mutate (If this creature would die, instead you may exile it and put a creature card from your hand onto the battlefield with CMC equal to ~'s CMC plus one)
"We don't know what will happen to it when it becomes exerted, but we know it will be fantastic."
Create a cool combo enabler for Commander that is a creature.

So Paradox Engine and urza can play your entire deck as long as you have 4 more artifacts.... thats neat. Tap 5 artifacts for 5 mana, activate ability, free cast spell from the top. Repeat. Cycle breaks if you hit a land, but as long as you have extra mana rocks you are generating near infinite mana anyway so just try again.
Spell Swindle becomes the most broken counterspell ever. Basically mana drain for 5 but instead of adding the mana you add manarocks.
How about Sensei's Divining Top ? Card fixing? Check. Mana rock? Check.
Oh boy this guy is gunna be teir 1

The edition matters a lot. Is it a promo of some sort, EMA, or something else? That affects the worth heavily. But in general if youre looking to sell the card, foreign cards usually cost 10-20% less than their english counterparts when selling in english countries. I frequently buy foreign cards for this reason as long as I know what they do.

This decklist looks odd to me because it doesn't seem to work well with itself. Turbo Fog and defenders seems kind of redundant in the durdly sort of way. It's as if you want to be able to block all attacks but also you want to not be attacked at all. If you want it to be cheaper and defenders, just building arcades would be the solution, but if you want a turbo fog and combo deck, the defender theme will only do so much. Youll have better luck fitting in your combos without them.
As for fun combos/ wincons in Bant decks? I like Deadeye Navigator with any of the Peregrine Drake type cards and then costed cards for absurd plays. Blue Sun's Zenith for = 100 on your opponent's turn is good fun. Then of course tutors to find the pieces would help too.

Pervavita that is a good point. Just occurred to me that even if she plays a simple commander deck that doesn't mean everyone else will, she might just get lost anyway if I toss her in there.
May 21, 2019 10:23 a.m.
Sorry, I didn't realize how limited my information was. cdkime was right in that she wouldn't be too into RB colors, I just don't see her playing sacrifice or any of those "evil" creatures. My decks are pretty unevenly powered, and I've never been terribly good at estimating power levels, so I think the commander decks might be the way to go. Although I disliked the C18, so I'll probably wait for C19 to come out and just buy all of them.
For now, though, I'm just looking to get a deck that's on the cheaper side, but could be taken to my LGS to teach her with a couple of friendly unspiky players who would let her enjoy the game. I was mostly looking for suggestions on commanders that are simple to play, can be built cheaply, and would make her feel like "the good guy."
I think Kruphix has the potential to work, and now that I think about it Karametra, God of Harvests could be a good and simpler option too.

Hey guys! I finally convinced my GF to give commander a shot (I dont really play other formats), and now I need to build her a deck that is simple for her and cheap, as well as on a good oriented theme. She doesnt really like demons and zombies and stuff like that. My thoughts were Sigarda, Host of Herons or Mayael the Anima , but I want to know if anyone has anything that would be even easier for her to learn.

Interexts, Demon of Pain
Legendary Creature - Demon
Whenever a creature other than ~ is dealt damage, ~ gets +1/+0 until end of turn.
Partner with Oket, Warlock of Interexts,
Make a card that allows you to break the rules somehow.
May 20, 2019 10:11 p.m.
Creature - Spirit Hydra
Soul-Gorger Hydra enters the battlefield with x +1/+1 counters on it.
Remove a +1/+1 counter from ~: Create a 1/1 spirit creature token with flying.
Whenever a creature you control dies, put a +1/+1 counter on ~.
Make an overpowered homunculus that is jeskai colors.
