You're point for fathom mage is.. I want to say weak. You are creating infinite mana in multiple ways, and card draw is so important there is no reason not to run it. It will almost always be good for you. As for the rest. Cards that aid consistency. Answers for things that will stop your combos. Will make the deck feel better I think

Regardless needs more red mana, and probably can afford to drop a few walkers for more protection

How does this work for you? Just seems very... not efficient considering the price tag. Planeswalkers are powerful but they still need support, which this has almost none of. You could very easily have your walkers k.o.ed as they come down it appears

Time walks can be very strong, especially when running tribal with big fat sphinxes, it can be huge, but I understand if you don't like it. I use trespass in my edh deck and it took a while for me to get used to it, but I love it now. If you decide you do like mnemonic wall I can try and do some research on other affordable cards that do similar things. I just think it is important to have smaller creatures that provide value as well, considering it can potentially take a while to get out your sphinx cost reduction, it helps the early game play out smoother in my experience. Over all, I love your deck though. I am going to build a sphinx tribal with this as a template most likely. I like a lot of your choices

Well, you have a wonderful start for it, all the good sphinx's are there. You might like more graveyard interactions to get the most out of uneshs ability. With cards like Mnemonic Wall and,Jace, Vryn's Prodigy  Flip, and Snapcaster Mage you can dig up whatever spells you might like, making picking piles for his ability a lose-lose situation for your opponents. Also cards with delve like Dig Through Time, which you do have, and Temporal Trespass for extra cheap value. Possibly dredge as well. I don't know much about dredge in blue though.

Thematically and mechanically you'd like Atarka's Command

I actually just put together my mill deck now that I have the cards. I ended up deciding to make it grixis. I think I will do some testing in esper. I think that fumigate in particular will prove to be useful, as well as access to anguished unmaking and dec in stone. Granted my build is more for the long haul.

While it is slightly less effiecient in the beginning of the game, you might actually prefer Curious Homunculus  Flip to baral. You only have 2 counterspells unless I missed something, so you would probably get more value out of post flip Voracious Reader  Flip. It usually can flip fairly quickly in my experience.

Question. Do you think dovin baan is really worth splashing white? Seems like it will decrease consistency for what many would say is by no means an overwhelming planeswalker. You might consider adding something like Hour of Revelation or Fumigate if you are going to run white?

July 13, 2017 9:31 p.m.

The problem with "turbo" mill is that it is so reliant on the combo of sanity and startled. Because it needs both in the first four turns to be really fast, it is hard to make just a fast mill deck in standard. That being said mill will be strong. It will just require a more control oriented build in order to be very consistent

+1 for cool deck with biblical flavor. Might I suggest Urza's Incubator?

My first thought would be just more manarocks, though that would be an expensive route to go all in all.

July 12, 2017 9:22 p.m.

This is a pretty cool idea. My first thought for something like this is more goodstuff creatures, though you said you wanted a budget. Depending on how expensive is to expensive for you, I could suggest some cards that could potentially give you an extra edge for the deck.

Ahh for non competitive, as long as your playgroup is actually okay with that it seems like a blast to play

Either way, trump is more destructive. You might like more removal. You have access to some good stuff in white. Path to Exile Swords to Plowshares and Condemn to name a few targeted spells, and Wrath of God and the new Hour of Revelation for boardwipes. Since you are running lots of cheap creatures and such, you might also like some recursion via Sun Titan

Correct my if I'm wrong but I'm fairly certain that emrakul is banned from edh. You might consider Kozilek, Butcher of Truth as a replacement to make it legal?

This looks like a pretty mean deck. I like it. I haven't playtested this myself yet, but it seems like it might function better if it had a little more disruption. Maelstrom Pulse for Aggro or token strategies might be particularly helpful. Considering if they have a really wide board, they may not be phased by a pumped torment. A copy or two of either Languish or Damnation might prove particularly helpful as well?

Crook of Condemnation is probably more effective than either, because it is targeted repeatable hate
