izzet midrange?

Standard forum

What are thoughts on a deck that contains the following (still brewing the rest):

Boros Reckoner

Keranos, God of Storms

Niv-Mizzet, Dracogenius

Dictate of the Twin Gods

Frostburn Weird

Ral Zarek

Jace, Architect of Thought

I think this would be easier if you made a deck of what you have so far, posted a link, and had people help you there.

Well, standard forum says "no decklists" so I was trying to avoid posting an entire decklist lol

It was just a thought that I had recently and was wondering what people thought of it. Maybe I should have labeled this as "U/R devotion"

you forgot Stormbreath Dragon .

You can choose how I win.

This is a izzet midrangy deck i've designed using only the theros block. (so I can slip into it post rotation)

This likely could have been better in the "deck help" forum anyways.

Stormbreath Dragon is good.

Chandra, Pyromaster .

@harrydemon117: While I appreciate that you read the forum descriptions, the Deck Help forum exists for exactly this reason.

So many 4-6 drops... seems clunky.

Thing thing with Izzet is that you want to find your synergy with instants and sorceries. Spellheart Chimera is an excellent example. You could just fill your library with card draw and burn and boom you have a hard hitting creature

It is a lot of high-cost spells... Maybe I should turn this into an RU G midrange deck and use sylvan caryatids to ramp.

Epochalyptik I wasn't looking so much for deck help as I was wondering what the standard players thoughts were on this deck archetype but thanks for the advice guys. Maybe I will just create a deck list and see what people think there

I understand that, but I think it's easier to get a discussion going if people have a tangible decklist to view and critique. Not saying the current thread is wrong; rather, I'm saying a different one would probably serve you better.
