I think this card is Awesome, 3/4 Vigilance for 3? puts soldiers whenever atack or block, it remembers me Hero of Bladehold , any ideas?

Considering this was given to LSV to spoil, I bet it will see some play. Not only in Standard, but other formats too.

This seems like a very strong card in limited and could possibly see constructed play

One thing is sure, this mean cat propelled Ephara as the second worst of the new gods for standard to the second best. They curve out nicely, he provide a good amount of devotion and he can make her trigger every upkeeps.

So can Akroan Horse , combine that with this cat and you are looking at a lot of dudes!

this makes white weenies a pretty viable option in standard. Plus with Precinct Captain you can keep making dudes and simply overwhelm your opponent.

Not nearly as good as Hero of Bladehold , but there's definitely some room for this guy to put in some work in constructed.

I think a heroic Boros token build is completely do able. This guy, Akroan Crusader , Young Pyromancer , the white token poopers/generators, and Assemble the Legion .

Can't figure out a good value for him yet though. I'm thinking $8 right now. He is not great late game as a top deck and aggressive strategies might be hurt by him being legendary. No immediate impact on the board. No evasion or immunity to removal. He does have to be dealt with right away or he can create serious card advantage and provides solid value with his stats for 3 mana. Has synergy with an established archetype, albeit a weak one.

Rasta_Viking29 since the creatures are so small, you want to make it a very aggressive deck. Being able to hit both Red and double white mana would be very hard unless you slow the deck down with the R/W temple

This is the first card since Gatecrash which has made my mind wander to Five-Alarm Fire

Probably still not competitive enough... but definitely a fun enabler.

Then combine with the "Archetype of Courage" to help keep your creatures alive... and Purphoros, God of the Forge for the extra damage to your opponent when you attack or block.

Seems fun!

Finally debuted on SCG at $20. Ebay has him $75-$100 for a playset. I don't see it, maybe if he pooped EtB. I hope I open a bunch of these so I can trade them away and then get a playset when he price drops.

Is there a modern deck that wants him?

I am so stoked about this card, as soon as he drops down from that insane twenty dollar-hype price he will be going right into
