The one true zombie master

Hello everyone. When I was browsing in my cards to build my werewolf deck I noticed the humongous amount of zombie that I had in my stash.
My question is : Which zombie general would you recommend to someone who's thinking about building a zombie deck and why that general.
The Scarab God is the most powerful zombie commander by a long shot. The list above is great but none of those cards except TSG was a standard dominating powerhouse. It can win games on its own, the other ones are just in consideration because of some zombie synergy not actual card power.

The Scarab God 100%. It mitigates commander tax, steals people's dead creatures and makes them into zombies, and also filters your cards.

I've played several of the above commanders and would have to agree in terms of straight power, The Scarab God is probably the most powerful zombie commander. I would argue that Varina, Lich Queen is the best of the three color options and her being an actual zombie allows her to benefit from other lords and zombie synergies. Green is probably the next best splash color with Red, in my opinion, being the weakest third color addition. Zombies really are one of the best supported tribes and you can take them in several directions but the resiliency and reanimation makes them solid threats.

As others have said The Scarab God is probably the most powerful option (strong card is strong), but imho kinda boring.
My personal favorite is Grimgrin, Corpse-Born thought. It's slow, it's clunky and you have to go through some hoops to make it work. But feeding him with zombies (who don't care about dying anyway) to even start him moving is very satisfying and thematic for this tribe.

The Scarab God, Varina, Lich Queen, Ghoulcaller Gisa, Sedris, the Traitor King, Josu Vess, Lich Knight, Lim-Dul the Necromancer
Something I would recommend for sure is colors.

is a great secondary
and seem roughly equal to me. Most the white support is more recent than the red support.
might have something worthwhile because golgari is a thing but this will probably be the most limited.
