This is a mid range deck that aims to win via big creatures with trample.

The mana base was the most challenging thing to figure out, and it's carefully designed to reliably cast everything that matters on curve.

How to draw

  • Frost Augur: draw machine of this deck, it stands out from most cards I've seen in Magic so far as it nets 1 card for 1 mana every turn in a snow deck, it's a powerhouse!
  • Glacial Revelation: this card is absolutely a must in any snow green deck as it gets you 6 cards for 3 mana, amazing huh?

How to ramp

  • Bird of Paradise: everybody knows it. It ramps and fixes at the same time.
  • Rime Tender: pretty unique card that can untap whatever snow thing you want, it's a mana source or can be use to make an Abominable Treefolk or Conifer Wurm vigilant.
  • Jorn God of Winter: it's not a ramp card per se but when he attacks it untaps all your snow mana sources and you can practically generate twice the amount of mana that turn, you can also trigger twice the Frost Augur (as it untaps) and so draw one more card that turn, and on the other side it's an artifact that let's you resurrect creatures from the graveyard. It's a 9/10 card magic-wise IMO.

How to defend

  • Icehide Golem: a 2/2 for 1 snow mana, which is quite remarkable, as a defensive creature your first turns.
  • Ice-Fang Coatl: for two mana you can flash it out on an attack of your oppo, kill it with its deathtouch and draw a card. What a blast!

How to win

  • Abominable Treefolk: a card that enters the battlefield as a minimum of 5/5 (on a snow deck) that taps an oppo creature that doesn't untap the next untap step and it has trample which is key to win, if it stays on the battlefield for 3 turns it almost certaintly win the game. If you pair it with the Rime Tender, then you have a Abominable Treefolk with a de facto vigilance.
  • Conifer Wurm: it usually comes down turn 4-5, but it can come down turn 3 if you casted Jorn God of Winter on turn 2 via Bird of Paradise, and when you have 4 mana (one of them being green) it swing with trample for 4+X where X is the number of snow permanents you control. On the best of possibilities it can swing for at least 9 life points as soon as turn 4, turn 5 if it's still on the battlefield the game is closed.

Bonus

  • Prophetic Prism: it draws you a card and adjusts your mana so that you can cast Abominable Treefolk and Ice-Fang Coatl more realiably the first turns, and it also increases the chance to cast Kaldring, the Rimestaff which is the backface of Jorn God of Winter.
  • Kaldring, the Rimestaff: in case you play against a slow control deck and your creatures gets countered then you can attempt to cast this cute thing and keep casting things from graveyard, eventually some good thing will filter through counter and rip off the oppo life points. They won't get to drop their big finishers.

Disclaimer

This deck doesn't aim to be the best deck out there. It aims to be reliable and a solid casual deck that can win against pretty good, and much more expensive, ones.
