Glacial Revelation Discussion

Rubadaz - Absolutely! Honestly, there are a lot of Snow cards that can replace various cards in this list very well. I actually run the Arcum's Astrolabe s in an extremely janky deck based entirely around Iceberg Cancrix and cards that ETB as another creature (like Phantasmal Image ) as an entirely Snow Mill deck.
Honestly, it would be quite possible to replace, say, either the Cancrix or Ice-Fang Coatl s in this deck with Astrolabes and/or Coldsteel Heart s and then completely replace Frost Marsh/Swamp with more Forests and Islands, relying on artifacts for black mana. It'd be very susceptible to artifact removal though. Keeping the lands as-is and swapping in Astrolabes definitely can help.
I know there are multiple avenues to get them in there too; I do generally prefer my decks more creature heavy than they need to (or in many cases, optimally) should be.
Glacial Revelation , Dead of Winter , and Abominable Treefolk were actually some of the biggest reasons I made this deck. Dead of Winter was actually the reason I originally splashed in black mana, because it has tremendous affects against non-Snow decks (while Revelation is pretty self-explanatory).
For a bit I was also looking at cards like Ohran Frostfang , but with the minimal ramp I felt the cost was too high to justify. Particularly since Revelation keeps your cards-in-hand at a good level a lot of the time.

I think your comment on the whole is pretty on point lagotripha. This deck was originally just splashed snow effects/spells for the sake of having some perks using a budget mana base; and was a lot more midrange-like with having Higher CMC threats to ramp into.
Going harder into "snow-matters" is what got me here now and Im not sure this is where I wanna keep taking this deck. I put Glacial Revelation in here thinking it would act like Lead the Stampede ... but it doesnt... the snow creatures available arent really that great ( Boreal Druid seemed appealing though) and I opted for other snow permanents like Arcum's Astrolabe / On Thin Ice ... there not bad but they just arent performing well for what this deck needs to do.
I like your idea with the artifact mana fixing and the use of Domain/ Shrapnel Blast ... ill play with the list with that in mind thank you.

I was thinking about On Thin Ice before and decided to rule it out because I thought the Instant speed of Path to Exile would probably be more handy... but stuffing in additional snow permanents make the idea of having Glacial Revelation almost seem like a variation of Lead the Stampede /mass draw... might really be worth it ill look into those!

Just thought that these cards would be good ideas.

Well, you could switch your basics to snow basics so you can be open to cards like Ice-Fang Coatl Dead of Winter Force of Despair Glacial Revelation Ayula's Influence Tectonic Reformation Reap the Past and Rime Tender

I agree that Into the North has proven to be a bit of a slower card, but without it it's difficult to have a functional mana base. Glacial Revelation has definitely earned it's place in the deck though. Even if the opponent is answering all my Marit Lage's Slumber and Abominable Treefolk , Glacial Revelation is just overwhelming card advantage. I've had games where the first time I'm finally able to get a hit in with Abominable Treefolk he's a 20+/20+ lethal. If you really wanted the deck to be more competitive I'd put in Prismatic Vista , Scrying Sheets , A few Fetch Lands and Replace Into the North and Icehide Golem with Dead of Winter and your counter spells of choice.

Into the North and Glacial Revelation feel slow. Some counter spells or removal might be better, that way if you're able to get Marit Lage out you can protect her until the next turn when she can attack. I have a similar build but went with a BUG non-budget route: http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/winter-wonderland-modern-snow-deck/?cb=1561661338
