New stuff —May 23, 2017

I managed to trade some of my cards for a Cavern of Souls and decided to put it in this deck instead of Boros Guildgate. Also, Desolation Giant hasn't been working out for me, so I've replaced it with Path to Exile.

No much to say about the deck, but I'll leave a small suggestion, have you tried to use Godsend?

Its a great diplomatic card. People will think twice before swinging at you with their commanders and they will also have a hard time deciding which creature to sacrifice to block your attacker.

Hi Fuklaw! Thanks for commenting. Well tbh, I never knew about Godsend until I saw it in one of your decks :), as well as some other equipment I had not considered before. I might cut Hero's Blade for it. I'm going to give it some thought; thanks for your suggestion and the upvote!

Ok, I've made up my mind and replaced Hero's Blade with Godsend. Though the CMC of Godsend is 3 while that of Hero's blade is 2, its equip cost is 1 less than Hero's Blade's. Also, its exile powers make it act like a second Argentum Armor, that's also effective when defending with the equipped creature!

Considering most of your creatures should have vigilance, Godsend should be even better in this deck than in mine, as your creatures won't tap to attack.

Puresteel Paladin and Brass Squire should also be useful to cut back on those equip costs.

You're right; Puresteel Paladin and Brass Squire would be nice in that regard. However, this deck has a combined voltron/tribe theme and I'm not sure I want to cut any of the tribe elements in favor of these cards.
