Making a simple 40 card Dark Depths deck on the cheap. I don't wanna drop $100 on four Dark Depths, so I'm just flying with one.
This is mostly a gag deck to get revenge on a friend who keeps buying all his MTG cards online. I want to beat him at his own game! ;)
The goal is to use the grab cards (Expedition Map, Diabolic Tutor) to get the required cards out (Dark Depths and Vampire Hexmage), and then get busy.
If you end up waiting for said cards above, you can bide your time with Dash Hopes and Ferropede.
If, for some reason, you cannot attack with the 20/20 flying that Dark Depths squeezes out (Marit Lage), you can use Rite of Consumption to deal 20 damage to your opponent. (Then, you can always use Grim Discovery to revive both Dark Depths and Hexmage and try again with the second Rite of Consumption).
And if something goes terribly wrong, just use Grim Discovery to return Vampire Hexmage and Dark Depths to your hand.
Add the sideboard and maybeboard if you want to play with a 60 card deck.
This deck was $40 to order. Not too shabby, eh? <3

EDIT: Well, I won every battle with this deck against my friend and I made my point, although I don't think it sunk in.
One time he tried to get cocky and stole Marit Lage, but I had an AEther Snap in my hand, and on my turn I said, "Okay, now kill it." Then I finished him off with three Ferropedes. :3
