Esper Shadows - Plunge into Death!

I'm making progress with the deck —April 22, 2017

So tonight I realized a couple things - first off, I'm really not getting Death's Shadow as much as I want to, and I need to play more of a control oriented matchup into the combo to win games.

When I was at FNM tonight, I tried out my proxy version with a few people and they all said the same thing with the combo - it seems to be a better version of Ad Nauseam, just not with enough control to it.

I've decided to remove and add a couple cards to the pool, specifically targeting Rite of Consumption and Plunge into Darkness for reason being that Rite of Consumption I've literally never used in game and it's wasting such a valuable space, and Plunge into Darkness being that it has too high of a cost to be relatively effective. I say this because in the deck, I have a LOT of effective lifeloss with the fetchlands, thoughtseize, shocklands, dismembers, and street wraiths, that it's just not worth four more slots for more lifeloss. Those slots can go towards better things such as Lingering Souls which will be very annoying for some people in some matchups, and Orzhov Charm which will be really effective interaction for my creatures and removal for opponents.

Next week, with the new list, I'm gonna see how everything goes and make tweaks based on results. However, so far, I think this is a fairly good start to making progress!
