Heads up Seven up

Casual

NikolaiHamerov

This here is a fun little casual modern deck that I out together that is still pretty budget despite playing quite a few rares. I entered into magic as the morph mechanic was rolling out of standard and now that I decided to pick some of these up it has proven to be really fun. I have played this in person and on MTGO and if you like creatures while still being able to be a bit sneaky this deck is just for you.

This deck is still a prototype and still in the "rule of 9" stage of the deckbuilding process. In other words, this deck is not fully tuned. Despite this fact however it is enjoyable.

Your major goal is to be able to play alot of morph cards and pair them up with Secret Plans making their toughness stronger to help you make it to the late game. When you have accumulated enough Mana thanks to Explore you can start flipping your creatures face up and swing in with more powerful threats than 2/2's. Sagu Mauler is hard to get rid of and Thousand Winds can act as a nice "board wipe" when you need it and a nice flying threat later on. Morph is also great in the fact that you can flip your creatures over at instant speed to help with combat tricks and the such!

The other nice piece of the decks strategy is that you will have a great time drawing cards. Lorescale Coatl loves when you draw cards and can really get out of hand if not taken out. You get to draw cards with your morph creatures if you happen to have a secret plans on the board and even one of my favorite "out of nowhere" cards would be Fathom Seer who does not require a Mana cost to flip, but just for you to send two islands (tapped or untapped)) back to your hand from the battlefield. After that you get to draw plenty of cards off of it helping you dig for removal and big threats to close out the game!

I will probably do a follow up on the deck and updates too as I tune it but let me know what you think and what kinds of card you want to see in here!
