Good Morning! I tested the deck against some metas and did well, I won against the mono R Burn, Rakdos combo and the Orzhov pestilence, and lost against Mono B fairies. All the matches I lost were for lack of removals to get that annoying blocker out. So I decided to add 2 Cast Down and 1 Suffocating Fumes. I was short of creatures in some matches and the 2x Tithe Drinker let me down. That's when I remembered this guy Vault Skirge who is perfect in the deck... Artifact, lifelink, 1 mana colorless and especially Fly as an evasion and block some fairies. Vampire's Kiss ran well and I decided to close the set. as the game usually goes on and the graveyard ends up filling 1x Gurmag Angler and 1x Blood Fountain were added and for the same reason I will put 1 Bojuka Bog. Duress was successful in every game. Trespasser's Curse and Sanctify I need to test more often. Overall the deck increased 3 Creatures, I hope it doesn't hurt Prowess. I'll test it like this and later I'll give another feedback. Thanks!

Thanks for posting owenger. I haven’t done much of anything with this deck since I built it, and I haven’t been keeping up with the hefty number of expansions Wizards churns out each year. Vampire's Kiss is a new card for me, but seems quite nice. I’ll add it to the maybeboard for when I eventually give this deck a tune up. Thanks!

Do you encounter the situation often where you're top-decking? Or do you aim at killing your opponent quick enough? Because Vampire's Kiss can really filter your bad top-decks out.

MagicMarc, this is a pauper deck, meaning commons only. Even allowing uncommons, im pretty content on not playing Konrad because it just really sounds like another way to win that does almost the same as Vampire's Kiss does while Kiss is still is fine card draw without the combo.

TLDR: Even if Konrad was legal in the format, we could win without it and be just as good/better.

Love the deck!

Just in case it has not crossed your mind, another great way to kill your opponents is using Tortured Existence with Syr Konrad, the Grim. Not only is it a good backup plan for Vampire's Kiss but it also adds another way to mill out your opponents. Every activation of Tortured Existence would be 2 damage to each of your opponents with Syr Konrad, the Grim. And you can always use him to just mill them out and damage them whenever they mill a creature. Adding even a single copy to the deck would give you another route to victory. Though it is slow compared to the rest of the deck

Hi - I love taking precons and improving on them. It's a fun way to start with something ready-made and then see how it plays and how you want to improve it. That said, you state your theme is blood tokens, and I think you can remove a number of cards that don't really feed into that theme, and include more to support the tokens. You cannot rely on always being able to generate damage with Strefan, Maurer Progenitor nor can you rely on him always being on the battlefield.

I would consider adding cards such as:

Just some ideas to make the most of the tokens but also ensure a more steady supply.

Would love your comments on any of my decks, too. Thanks!
