Why I play Magic

I have been playing Magic since 1995 in the time of Fourth Edition I play magic for 3 reasons: 1- It makes me spend some good time with my friends. 2- I like the probability, the arithmetics and the logic behind the deck building. 3- I like the artworks.

How I build a deck

I usually choose one or a few cards that I find appealing for their abilities, colors and artworks, and then, I do everything possible to make the deck as good and as fun to play as possible. I prefer having a fun flavored deck that is very challenging to build then having an usual competitive type one. That's why some of my deck revolve around cards that are not very good or not used as I do. Also, when my decks rotates out, I still usually keep them as the were. That's what I call "Old Standard". That way, I can still compete, in casual, against standard deck (or other "Old Standard" deck) at a pretty similar level. I don't need to destroyed my favorite decks to fit a new format and It gives me the opportunity to easily compare my deck building skills and style by years. Here are some example of good and "not so good" cards that I tried to abuse in my deck: Vein Drinker, Soul Collector, and Blood Cultist in Vampire chicks

I found those vampires too sexy to not be played. I know Blood Cultist is supposed to be a "human wizard", but I'm not a fool, I know that it's a vampire in disguise !

As a big fan of Romero's zombie trilogy, as soon as I saw that card, I knew that I had to make a deck out of it !

It took me a lot of time and a lot of testing to put them together, but I am now proud of what the deck have become.

Now, here is a list of my favorite standard tappedout decks for each combination of colors: I hope to find a deck for each combination of color possible. I just cleaned this list since most of the deck in it are not standard since the rotation. So feel free to send me new suggestions so I can make a new list. And remember that this list is not a list of the best deck out there, but really a list of MY favorite decks ! Enjoy ! : )
