Can I bring an artifact land with Trinket Mage?

considering that it is an artifact, without a mana cost (0), would be a legal target. But the land artifacts are not considered spells, it interferes with something or not really?

As long as artifact appears somewhere in the card type, and has a cost of 0 or 1, it is a legal target for Trinket Mage

To expand what the others have said, Trinket Mage does not and could not look for spells. Spells only exist on the stack.
As you said, lands have a CMC of 0, and Vault of Whispers et. al. are artifacts in addition to being lands.
Trinket Mage has you search for an artifact with a CMC of 1 or less, so you can search for one of the artifact lands with Trinket Mage .

I was under the impression that lands did not actually have a mana cost, so this would not work. If lands had mana cost 0 it would say 0, but it doesnt. Just as Ancestral Vision cannot be payed with 0, it has to be suspended. But then is something without a mana cost less than 1?

Lands lack a mana cost, this is true. But cards/objects without a mana cost have a converted mana cost of 0. trinket mage cares about the CMC, not mana cost, of the card it searches for. Therefor artifact lands are perfectly valid.
If you cascaded into an Ancestral Visions, it could be cast that way. But you can't choose to pay for a nonexistent cost and cast Ancestral Vision normally.

Yes artifact lands like all lands have a CMC of zero so Trinket Mage can search them
