Banefire

Asked by FallenAngel 13 years ago

What if you have an infinite mana cycle going allowing you to have any type of mana you want on the fourth round and on the fith round you cast bane fire what could prevent this besides destroying the creatures used to make this combo and a mindbreak trap?

Redirect , Time Stop , Swerve , Reverberate * would all work.

*This works as your copy goes on the stack before the original Banefire resolves so ideally your copy resolves first letting you win before their Banefire resolves. Their Banefire is also removed from the game from the stack after they lose, just incase this is needed for multiplayer.

anything that would stop you from loosing the game or prevent your life total from going belowe a certain number will also stop it, or anything that stops it from targeting you.

and even though it says it cant be countered if any spell or ability prevets him from casting red spells and or sorcerys he will not be able to play it

infinite lifegain in response would also work, as x has to be chosen as an actual number for spells, and the player gaining life can simply pick a larger number.

almost all if not all infinite combos can only be done at sorsory speeds.

i only know of 1 rare that can make my infinite life combo work at instant speedonly instants and instant speed abilitys can respond to his spell before it kills him

Shimmer Myr + Leonin Relic-Warder + Suture Priest + Phyrexian Metamorph

All in the same block.

Instant speed infinite life gain. So long as you have the Relic Warder, and Priest out already.

No, just the one. You don't need a second.
