in the shades of alara block some creatures(but only in esper colors?) look like there half-made out of some metal coil like thing Ex.Ethersworn Canonist Sanctum Gargoyle Windwright Mage Architects of Will Ethersworn Shieldmage to name a few soo can anyone explain what happend to them?
I'm not sure I understand the question. Are you asking about artifact creatures in general or what happened to them in the story?
Esper was about white/blue/black artifacts. They were the first colored artifacts (aside from Sarcomite Myr ) and the only time after that was with the scars block (just New Pyrexia if I remember right). Its more like a flavor theme thing. Much like how they won't be making any transform cards anytime soon.

The reason for the parts of them being metal (Etherium, to be specific) was because they gave up parts of them to have an Etherium body part. It's harder to damage and lighter than flesh. They were mostly artificers (as stated above) so having parts of them be their magical focus makes them able to channel it much more easily. The greatest honor on Esper was to have one's heart be replaced with an Etherium heart and this was reserved for Seekers (Tezzeret the Seeker , for instance) who proved themselves worthy. Tezzeret was not approved, but grew enraged when he learned they were specifically targeting him to not get one. He then killed the leader of the Seekers and stole his Etherium heart and implanted it in himself.
Also, Tezzeret made his own Etherium arm when he was younger and put it on himself. I don't remember exactly, but I think that's what activated his Spark.

If you're wondering why the creatures have metal on them it's called Etherium and the inhabitants of Esper thought adding it to their bodies brings them closer to perfection.

@ItchiUchiha117 - Basically Tezzeret was a have-not in Esper society, but dared to plunge into the inner recesses of the Arcane Sanctum
, where he saw that the holiest of holies of Esper society, the supposedly infinitely wise texts, were blank. This is pictured in Brilliant Ultimatum
.
At that point, Esper guards tracked him down and stabbed him nearly to death, which triggered his spark. He found himself in Jund, where he met one Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker . On his first try! Good job, Tezzeret.

@KrazyCaley It's okay though, cause then Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker made him into an even BETTER version of himself! Go go Tezzerator!

Whoo! Alright, yeah, I had that somewhere in my brain, I just couldn't put it into words. And then Tezzeret, Agent of Bolas was born.

Because a lot of things start and end with Bolas. Besides that, he was the main antagonist in the block.

"Little Planeswalker, you have not yet begun to see even the barest outlines of my plans. I have schemes within schemes that would boggle your feeble mind. You may counter one, but there are a thousand more of which you know nothing. Even my ... setbacks ... are planned for, and so I shall win in the end."
Nicol Bolas in a nutshell.
Also for bonus points, anyone know what that quote is from?

If you sub out Planeswalker for Human, I'd say that was Sosuke Aizen from Bleach.

ok, why do all lore threads end up talking about bolas, with alara lore its understandable, but really?

Probably because Bolas is one of the Big Three Villains, along with Phyrexia and, arguably, the Eldrazi. I've heard arguments for others than the Eldrazi, but I can't remember them right now.
He's one of the more recognizable villains of the last few years of Magic, having been responsible in some form for the disasters on at least three Planes, whether it be directly on Alara, with stealing (or at least trying) the Maelstrom, or indirectly on Mirrodin / New Phyrexia and Zendikar, with sending Tezz and Sarkhan (respectively) there and having them further the villians' "plans." (It's in quotes because the Eldrazi don't plan, they just kill and eat.)

ItchiUchiha117, nope. Except for Planeswalker (which was subbed out), it's an exact word-for-word quote.
bantam1234, also because he's a giant, super powerful dragon that can kill people by touching them gently. I'd serve him if I had the chance (great life insurance, as Tezzeret can attest)..

I thought it was more of a "Drive them so crazy they'd wish they were dead if they were sane enough to realize they're not giant talking tacos (talkos?)" with a gentle touch than an outright kill.
And I can only assume he was talking to Jace. How close was I?

Well, I was figuring he could kind of make their brains literally explode if he wanted to.
But sub Toa in for Planeswalker and you have Makuta Teridax's speech to Toa Vakama in one of the Bionicle novels. Bionicles FTW!
I can imagine this being speeched to any fools who would dare oppose Bolas, be it Jace, Tezzeret, Ajani, or anyone else.
Random thought: could Bolas help Xenagos, The Reveler transcend into godhood?

... Oh, fuck... I really don't think Bolas will be in Theros and I really don't want him there... And yes, he can make their brains go splat, but that's because he is giant and anything with that much mass can make a brain go splat. But it is a real ability that he has that makes people go insane with just a touch. It's what he did to Tezzeret.

Yeah, I don't really want Bolas to be in Theros either. It'd be nice to be able to turn around and not say "Hey look, there's Nicol Bolas! I bet he's behind everything!"

Yeah, that'd be a lot of BS to take from WotC.

allthingsMTG jace destroyed tezzeret's mind in the novel agents of artifice, at the end, bolas found tezzeret. then in Test of metal, bolas rebuilds tezzerets mind and forces tezz to work for him
