So I just came across this YouTube Teaser and I am most displeased...
Ajani and Tamiyo are/were some of my favorite Planswalkers and this is just aweful news for me... At the same time I do like the weight/consequence of events thats happening in the story though! Pumped to find/read more upcoming lore!
anyone have any thoughts/feelings/concerns or predictions?
If Ajani's been a sleeper this whole time, doesn't that mean literally any else could be a Phyrexian? As Ajani was introduced around 2011 (I think), it would mean phyrexians have been working under the radar for a long time, and we could include pretty much every single Planeswalker in the game as a suspect.
I think the neatest Phyrexian walkers would Rowan and Sorin, but the implications that would come with Teferi becoming compleated would make for an interesting twist (As everyone is counting on him to fix this).
I hope Seb McKinnon gets to do a card with someone in the process of being compleated/already compleated. He has gorgeous art and if he worked on that theme I think you'd be able to really feel the agony the PW is going through

I don't think he's been a sleeper the entire time. In the first chapter of Dom United story they make a note to point out that leonin from Naya don't smile revealing their teeth. In chapter four, he greeted someone doing that exact thing. He must've been caught and compleated during the course of the story otherwise that note wouldn't mean anything.

@Delphen7 I also think that the magic story/continuity reset and started over on M15/Magic Origins (for better or for worse).

He was infected over the course of the story when Karn notes that Ajani was injured fighting a Phyrexian, and some of the oil got onto him.
That's right, Phyrexia compleated Ajani without doing anything special, just showing up and spreading their disease. No work, no effort, just passively infecting Ajani because why not?

The Dominaria United story on Wizard's website. Ajani basically went from Bro-Tier Ajani to Compleated Ajani over the course of days without anyone noticing.

His card is on Mythic Spoiler, along with Jaya and Liliana. His card, in particular, is really cool.
Also they are doing another cycle of Planeswalker Commanders with Carth as a 5c walker.

But, yes, rest in peace Ajani. I was so shocked that he turned out to be the spy. I-
-I mean, imagine what impact this'll have on Chandra. Ajani was her emotional support lion and Jaya was her mentor. This will hit her hard.

It's a minor thing, but since they have two arts for Ajani I think it's a bit of a shame they both show him from the same side. I think the normal one should have been looking at his right side while the compleated version should have been looking at his left side, so the side of his face with the Phyrexian-replaced missing eye is in focus.

Even though Ajani ended up Selesnya, he started mono-white. I just wanna call out that being a mono-white planeswalker seems to mean you're gonna have some rough times.
- Ajani -> corrupted by the Phyrexians.
- Elspeth -> killed off by a god before eventually escaping the underworld.
- Gideon -> he dead.

Man, mono-white seems to have it hard. But that makes sense, because it is supposed to be about self governance, altruism and community. Of all the colors, mono-white is the "least selfish", so it would be the easiest to take advantage of and harm.

Also noteworthy that Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite is leading the phyrexians I think... the lawful evil order kinda thing.
