Dack Fayden vs. Jace Beleren

Both of these planeswalkers are subtly influential on the game state, and play a similar role in slow card advantage. Which do you think is superior?
Jace is strictly better, Dack Fayden isn't playable at all. It doesn't give card advantage, just card selection. It only realistically has one ability, it also is in UR which makes it extra awkward.

awesomeguy37, you forget to mention, however, that Dack's + ability isn't just a drawback when you discard. Plenty of decks would be happy with pitching cards. Something that needs to be in the grave or works in either place would particularly.
It's a niche advantage, but one that has to be accounted for.

In rug delver, dack fayden contributes to threshold, is a force of will enabler. and can take stoneblade threats and parts of painters servant etc. I would not play baby jace in legacy at all

don't forget about commander. jace can be a political tool, drawing cards for your friends, but dack can steal artifacts as soon as he comes down. steal Wurmcoil Engine , steal Gilded Lotus , steal Blightsteel Colossus . any artifact that your opponent plays is just giddy theft fodder for the greatest thief in the multiverse

in legacy UR isnt akward, its one of the most popular color combinations, (also in modern). Dack only costs 3, lets you sculpt a better hand, getting you deeper, to combo pieces, puts cards in the gy for Past in Flames
, lets UR delver discard excess lands (the deck rarly needs a 3rd land and 4 is flooding), you can steal Batterskull
, Sword of Fire and Ice
, Umezawa's Jitte
, AEther Vial
from Death & Taxes, and if you did happen to -6 him at some point, which you could do in delver varients and less storm, youre playing 8+ burn spells, bolt your 5/6 goyf, take your goyf, swing 5?
legacy dack is far superior to jace, although if he sees play i think itll be a 1 of maybe 2 nothing huge like JTms play

Here are my thoughts:
Dack Fayden is, of course, an UR Planeswalker so you have to be running a 2+ color deck to play him. Jace is better suited for more decks.
Both of their first abilities have drawbacks, Jace lets each other player draw a card whereas Dack makes you discard. However Jace's ability is a +2 so it is a draw for this one.
Dacks -2 (Gain control of target Artifact) is good but only if they have a powerful artifact. Jace has a -1 and it is good no matter when. Jace wins this one.
Dack's ultimate is a -6 that steals opponents things but only when you target them, this means you have to have a deck with lots of target effects which means a deck centered around dack. Although Jace's -10 is worse when you pull it off, it can fit into reanimator, mill, control or pretty much any strategy. Jace wins this one as well.
As you can see in my opinion jace is better but you may have different opinions.
