Dodging the end of the world?

Let's say an opponent plays Terminus or Supreme Verdict , is it possible for my creatures to Blink, or Cloudshift , away to dodge this spell, and come back after it resolves?

Unfortunately no. Global effects hit all creatures, so even though it'd be a new permanent, it'd still get hit by the board wipe/sweeper. If you'd want to retrigger an ETB effect then yes go for it. It won't save you from a global effect though

Okay, so Blinking on dodges targeting spells/abilities or combat damage. Thanks i appreciate it

Right. Though if you wanted to reuse an ETB effect one last time then go for it.

Example would be if you were going to lose a Sun Titan you could blink it to pull out a land (shock, fetch, basic, dual, etc) or any other permanent with CMC 3 or less from your graveyard.

You could use card:Faith's Reward to come out unscathed at the end of the turn.

UmbrotheUmbreon Well i don't think too many of my cards would be the most useful in that scenario, my blink deck is Don't Blink, I'll Do It For You, and although it's not the fastest, i find it get pretty dang impressive by turn 6, to where i can continuously blink Thragtusk gaining 15 life and 3 3/3 tokens a turn. But other than that life, i guess there's not too much i can do. Feel free to check out my deck and give me any advice, i need to know what to aim for. Haha

BadumPsh, that is true, but i just don't know if i'd want to make room in my deck for that.. Then again i think that's what a sideboard is for :) Thanks man

Note that if the blink spell says something like "Return at the END of the turn, like Venser, the Sojourner , you can dodge wrath effects and the likes.

DaCeltics, that's true.. But is there any Standard cards that can do so? It's very possible that i just skipped over them.

DaCeltics: You also have to remember Venser's ability can't be put on the stack if a spell/ability is already there, so if they Supreme Verdict then you can't use Venser's +2

cestdesconneries: I wasn't really specifically talking about standard, I was kind of more general, just dodging wrath effects with blinking.

UmbrotheUmbreon: I was using the text on Venser as an example, I can think of literally 0 ways to activate Venser's ability in response to a card like Supreme Verdict

So i guess in standard it's pretty difficult to dodge that effect? Haha

If you find a way to play it as an instant, (Like with card:Alchemist's Refuge) you can use Sudden Disappearance to get around Terminus . For Supreme Verdict , use Rootborn Defenses .

@DaCeltics: Ah, alright. I thought you were saying that he could use it. My bad :)

A way you could save your creatures from being destroyed is blink Angel of Serenity in response to Supreme Verdict . Simply choose three creatures you control to exile, then when she leaves play they'll return to your hand :)

Sudden Disappearance couls do it.... but it's at sorcery speed, so you wpuld need something like card:Alchemist's Refuge to do it in response to an opponent's spell.
