Why is Piracy so expensive?

Why is Piracy $10 when Drain Power is $1? Drain Power is even a better card. When playing Piracy you opponent will just tap their lands in response. If they do this with Drain Power you will still get their mana. So why are Piracy 10 times more expensive?
Ok. I have 2 Piracy . Is that a card you think will increase in value over time, or will it stay at 10?

Those are both pretty peculiar cards. Piracy would have done more in the days of mana burn.

I agree, I doubt it. Just because it's rare and cool doesn't mean it's good. Capture of Jingzhou is $250 on StarCityGames, not exactly a stellar card.
Whether it will rise in price, I don't think so. Never been very good with the economics of MtG so don't trust my opinion on this one.

Capture of Jingzhou is an amazing card. Endless shenanigans with like that + Eternal Witness + flicker.
Any take another turn card is utterly busted, if you can use it properly.

Capture of Jingzhou is really good because it's the 2nd Time Warp in your EDH deck. If you're gonna play a deck based around taking extra turns, the more the merrier.
Same reason for Ravages of War being so expensive. It's the second Armageddon .

besides piracy being very rare... everyone missed the key component... it's all opponents.... its an EDH card which allows you to set up any play uncontested.
DaShPrime says... #2
Possibly because of the physical rarity of the card. Piracy was printed in the Portal set, which wasn't highly circulated. It's the same reason why Imperial Seal is more expensive than Vampiric Tutor , even though Vampiric Tutor is an instant.
