Looking For A Hand Based Mana Source

First of all, sorry if this is the wrong forum. I couldn't figure out where single card questions were supposed to go.
I've been tuning a Trazyn the Infinite list (which can be seen here), and I've often needed to combo off in the middle of someone else's turn (darn removal).
What this usually means is generating infinite colorless mana, and then drawing my deck. However at this point I've often ended up needing colored mana, and no way to generate it.
I've been unable to find anything, and so here I am:
In Mono Black is there a artifact I can discard or an instant style effect that produce colored mana given I have infinite colorless to work with?

I don’t play edh, so i’ll be no help for suggestions - but i’m curious why you need to combo off during another persons turn, instead of just doing so on your own?

I mean, there is Priest of Yawgmoth, where you sacrifice an artifact to add black mana. Not exactly a discard from hand, but still a mana dork effect.

wallisface I like to wait for the blue opponent to tap out. Usually though removal is fired off though before I'm ready, and I'll mill one to see my options, which can open up lines.
Gidgetimer Metroid_Hybrid AstroAA Thanks for the suggestions, but unfortunately none of those are what I'm looking for. They need to be on the battlefield/in my graveyard before removal is cast to work, and I'm in need of something that I can draw into and cast/discard/do something with removal or a counterspell on the stack.
It may be that those what I'm looking for doesn't exist and I need to just jam the combo on my turn as wallisface suggested

Having just dictated my thoughts on what I needed, I was able to refine what I was looking for. A quick search yielded Dire Mimic and Liberator, Urza's Battlethopter as what I was looking for.

I just kinda assumed you were already running Liberator, Urza's Battlethopter, Shimmer Myr, and instant speed discard outlets if you were comboing at instant speed. I'm not overly familiar with Trazyn the Infinite combos and didn't look at the deck.

With infinite colorless at your disposal, a simple Prismite could do it, right?

Gidgetimer I only had Shimmer Myr originally, and most of my issues arose when it was countered. To be fair, I think most people aren't familiar with Trazyn, as not much has been done with him yet :)
plakjekaas If it's on the battlefield, yes. It works perfectly. My issues arise when it's in my library and I need that effect in response to interaction
