Is Staff of Nin good for card draw in an artifact deck?

I was wondering if anyone runs Staff of Nin in their decks, in particular artifact decks, and its effectiveness. I'm considering it for an artifact deck that currently lacks enough card draw for my tastes and am looking for a second opinion.

Personally I prefer Thoughtcast or Thirst for Knowledge (assuming you're playing blue for most of the support in that color) Just my two cents.

I like Staff of Nin , not just for the card draw, but for pinging little 1/1's before they become a problem, or finishing off other damaged creatures. If you don't abuse it to ping a player every turn (which you certainly can do) it tends to not draw a lot of hate either.

Dritz - So you know my commander is Sydri, Galvanic Genius and I am running quite a bit of blue in the deck. I'm already running Thirst for Knowledge and I'll definitely put Thoughtcast on my list of card draw to consider.

yes, staff of nin is great in artifact decks, the extra draw is amazing and with artifact ramp, you should be able to drop it pretty consistently by turn 4

There's some non-artifact-related card draw that's also pretty good in Blue. Rhystic Study and Mystic Remora are both pretty excellent.

with Sydri, Galvanic Genius , Staff of Nin also becomes a 6/6 creature when needed. I think it's a pretty good card in that deck. The other choices are good, but you also have black, so don't forget Phyrexian Arena and Necropotence .
